Awesome ^_^ A member of my FC was just telling us about how the different faeries work. Interested in trying it out. First want to get my gla to 50... only a level and a half to go!

The faeries are pretty rigged, I'll admit. I was doing guildhests last night and my faerie solo healed them while I afk'd and ate dinner. I wish I was joking.

Fairies are amazing at low level at least. Not sure how they hold up as you level up, but up until Haukke Manor, I still run Cleric Stance and full-time DPS with Selene's Cast Speed Buff, while she takes care of all our hurtsies.

My tank loves and hates me at the same time for stealing all the agros >:}

On another note, made myself my goldsmith, miner, weaver and leatherworker outfits now, and got the FC's top fishermen his entire set. I HQ'd his boots, but none of my stuff.

I'm still in love with crafting, but it seems like making Vanya gear will stay out of my reach for a long long time :<

They are really good healers aren't they. I DPS on my SCH all the time while they heal. Even at higher levels they can almost main heal. I usually us Eos, but it seems from Docent's statement that Selene can do it as well. The only times you cannot just DPS it during dungeons Bosses and when you get a bad pull. I suggest having swiftcast equipped just in case the unthinkable happens, someone dies. Funny though, I've rarely had to pull out swiftcast and resurrect all that often on SCH. On SMN when I am a DPS I've used swiftcast Resurrect a good number of times. Personally I see SCH as a combo DPS/Support + Healer and when I see a SCH just idling or twidling their thumbs I wounder why they don't try at least some DPSing, Archanist DOTs alone can speed thing up and Bio is instant.

Kinda except you don't need to give them a target. For example your at the bottom of a cliff and a party member jumps down taking more then 10% fall damage, your fairy will immediately heal them. 10% seems to be the point where you become a possible healing target. Their prime heal target will always be the lowest HP target within range. It seems to exclude itself when party members HP drops below 50%. This is for the Eos fairy as she is what I use more often then Selene. Also if it wasn't clear SCH pets will only heal party members, their skills cannot target outside the party. I have not tried healing other party pet members, but I know they are excluded from possible auto heal targets.

Thank you very much ^_^ My ACN is only level 23 so far but I'm really looking forward to getting the jobs for it!

More info about Fairies:

Selene seems to prioritize silencing casters and giving AoE +Cast speed over cures, so if you use her on SCH to main heal, you sometimes have to pick up a bit of slack.

All summon pets take -90% damage from AoE, as in WoW. However, they still get the poison damage, silence, stuns, and such from the AoEs. You have to be wary of those and once again pick up the slack if your fairy gets debilitated.

You can "place" manually your fairy to spots that are safe for them to heal from, and bosses won't target them with spells. Their auto-heal range is shorter than yours, so you have to do that at times to make sure they heal the tank instead of standing still. Also need to be wary of LoS objects like pillars blocking them from healing the tank.

They do not seem to wake up mobs or cause agro if you "place" them near a boss before the fight begins.

They have endless mana, and have their own threat.

I saw you standing around in Monk Gear in the Black Shroud. Actually pretty close to where I met mbncd xD

Hmm... Looking at your signature, your GPU seems to be a kinda old model. Don't really know though, since I am using AMD for a while now. A decent nVidia one (not too expensive -> ~200€ considering the manufacturer) would be the GTX660, if you consider a new one.

I have a Roegadyn GLD on Phoenix, a Miqo'te CNJ on Masamune, a Lalafell THM on Excalibur (wanted to be in the last Lalafell March >_<), and a Lalafell Arcanist on Sargatanas.

So maybe one of these days, I might get to meet some of you guys in game. :)

Also to add into out pet discussion, pets will stop attacking the target if any effect is on the target that can be broken via a hit, this includes bind which I've seen happen extensively since the SMN40 ability is AoE damage+bind. After the spell goes off your summon with move towards you and when it's off will return back to the target. On a side note, for those that do leves and do one where you have to pacify mobs with /soothe or another action, you will need to tell you pet to heal several time or tell it to do something else. It's slightly annoying but you work with what you got right? And that -90% damage reduction I can so totally believe, but i think it's closer to 75%. I attempted Garuda story fight, Ifrit took the hits like a pro for around 400-500 point where it'd do 2k to players, unless his AI pathing made him lucky by taking a rout around the rocks. I really want my Garuda pet already!

Yeah I wanted to show a friend how the game looks like at night, alt-tabbed and forgot... And of course it doesn't crash when the game is alt-tabbed -_-

The GPU is pretty old, yeah. 2007, I think? It's still performing quite well on medium/high settings, so if the drivers didn't start to crash recently, it would still be usable. Totally no money for a new one so I'm praying this one holds out until I can get a new one. I think the 660 GTX isn't enough of an upgrade to be honest, I'd probably go for a Ti if I had the money. Though recently I've been thinking of going AMD the next round.

Needed a smile so came here. I think I am going to give up trying to get on until after they fix the servers. 3 and a half hours later and now the start button is greyed out. I've crashed 7 times this weekend, had my breaker blow 3 times, and had my first blue screen ever on this PC(probably because of the breakers blowing). Trust me, I know the feeling.

Usually takes me anywhere from 30min to an hour of NUM0 to get in.

Crashed last night doing Westwind and it took me an hour to get back in, but you know what. I got back in and I kicked Garlean butt D:< ain't nothing going to stop me from playing this game!

(lso holy crap its busy today, woke up at 6am and couldn't get in.)
