I wish that happened when I was trying to help my boyfriend get his hat. We were a party of 8 killing them the right way and a party came up and kept making mobs leash and waking up ads. I've also had someone come up on brd solo and try to "steal" kills while they were on our claim but all they were doing was waking them up and making them leash which was infuriating to say the least.

I had a couple of jackasses do this yesterday, so instead of killing the mobs, I just used them to mpk those idiots.

Fortunately the ones doing it to my party were not that smart.

My group has confirmed, with out a doubt, who ever gets the kill shot gets the drops regardless of who has the mob claimed. We tested this with another group, and the evidence is clear. Please note crystals aren't 100% drop rate so don't let that throw you off. Idk if this was already confirmed or not, but im not going to search through 40 pages to look.

This is a really awful event. I sure hope this isn't a sign of things to come in ARR.

Ain't that the truth. The person with the group will have higher odds when leashing. so take that into account.

It seems like the frequency of this event has been increasing. Both yesterday and again this morning there were imperials at Iron Lake when I went out to mine. They were also up last night. Has anyone been keeping tabs on the pop times?

And I can confirm without a doubt that whoever has claim gets the loot.

You are simply misunderstanding how the claim system works and tagging mobs as they leesh and are unclaimed.

Claim is tied to the H1. If i have the H1 off tanked and you are leeshing the elites I still have claim throughout.

Your test is either flawed, people are lying to you or lag is simply not reflecting who has true claim.

claim is actually tied to any of them.... its a party of mobs as long is one is claimed they are all claimed
you can tank any of the little elites and leash the rest.... it actually makes it easier that way then trying to tank the H1 the whole time

Yes I should of said grab any and hold it (not let it leesh).

When mass amounts of people were just leeshing everyhting at the start our small party of 3 would just grab the H1 and off tank it while letting the masses kill all the elites then the H1 for us. Worked out quite well.

I think they're starting to pop more often now but I could be wrong...

They also spawn near Crimson Bark.

Is Imperial Event over???

Havent seen them at all on the Ridill server for the last 3 IRL days and ive been online for about 18 hours EVERY day and looking for them every 2 hours or so.

yeah, I think it may be over. I haven't seem them spawn in a while either.

This would really blow if the event is over ~_~. There better be zombie imperials that drop it in 2.0

It is obvious that this weekend they are going to spawn closer to uldah/limsa and gridania with 10x drop rate. They are just preparing for the assault.

Maybe something from the latest grand company explains this

There was a dev post stating that the drops from this even will not be available in 2.0. So no, they are exclusive items.

I just have to drop in and say that for some future feedback this wasn't a very good way to handle limited items. I'm all for having to spend time camping a rare item or having items that are only available for a limited time but the combination of these two didn't work out too well.

I personally spent close to 40 hours in this event without either hat because the turn-around of people getting their hats then new people coming in and needing hats in these groups was high so coupled with the fact that the drop is rare to begin with there is the high probability of a lot of people being in the same situation as I am and will require a lot more time than others to get the items.

I wouldn't have had as much of an issue with this turn of events but it's rather annoying to know that I'm very likely going to miss out on a couple of limited items even though I put a fair share of time participating in it. So my suggestion for the future is never to make rare drop items a limited time event again. You either need to make a limited event where a certain amount of participation in the event guarantees the reward or you don't make the item a limited time ordeal and provide other avenues to obtaining the item after the event is over.

They should at the very least tell us when the event will end, when its active, or if it is changing.
None of this information was provided. In my opinion, the entire thing seemed thrown together from the start.

That..and the event lasted enough for most if not every active player to get their hats..especially when it was up all day everyday for weeks.

Unless you have shitty schedule lol - but yeah.. if you have "no idea" when it is going to end the best bet is to play it safe.

If it counts as a limited event though SE should always give end dates.

There were 5 times that I tried - but no one was doing that content. I could have probably broken sleep schedule, but when I went to have a go at it either my friends were too OP and did it the first few days or too UP and couldn't do it now.

I did two 2 hour runs as well but I didnt get the loot lol.

To the point of being annoying if people tried to do leves or DoH..this is why people shouldn't have waited till last minute for that "list of unobtainable stuff" as well, since then people will somehow blame SE. I can understand wanting the confirmation of time and so on..but when you have the time (had a few months and now only a few days left) people shoulda been hauling ass.

But I guess that does mean people need a push to get to doing something even if you have a treasure trove sitting in front of you for the taking 24/7 for the next 7 weeks. Drop rates were kinda shitty but no matter the scheduling unless it took you to the point you had only 10 minutes a day or something there was a chance in the last few weeks to get. At least no one can complain about missing out on the dalmatica.

If you have BLM leveled you can slowly leash solo them. My brother and his gf duo'd entire groups this way lol.

Yep, you didn't need a group for this, you just needed to be dedicated to getting the drop right from the get go. Limited content with no end date mentioned to me says "hurry the hell up or you'll miss it."
