Issues started happening two days ago, game is unplayable, tried all the usual troubleshooting solutions VPN included, as well as port rerouting and the sort. I'm currently on Crystal, Brynhildr, and live in Costa Rica. Seems like Latin America in general was hit with this recently, situation is getting out of hand and I think I speak for everyone here when I say we want a fix asap. :mad:

I was having the same issue being from south america and having constant 90006 errors but i could play for a few hours until just now, when in logout by my own choice.
It would appear that the error is related to peak hours of activity maybe..
Yeap, since a couple of days ago it started disconnecting continuosly. I live in Ecuador, currently on Leviathan. It's been unplayable. Today i managed to finish the duty The Aetherochemical Research Facility with 3 disconnects (90002). I am at the last duty to finish heavensward msq and i cant advance it if it keeps disconnecting and reseting the progress i make in the duty.

wired connection. i get 90002 errors occasionally when i enter instanced areas (always at the start), dungeons open cutscenes, dungeons final boss cutscene, entering inn and scions HQ etc. it doesn't happen all the time, but often enough that it's annoying. tried almost everything suggested....
Its honestly kind of outrageous how there has been *no* official response, even though this is a clear issue and has been thoroughly documented by a lot of people, the lack of transparency might well just make me unsub until this is fixed.

First of all, sorry for my English, I'm french but there is not similar topic on FR Forums.
So, I also got a lot of these disconnections yesterday, making the game unplayable.
I tried several things : reseting my internet box, rebooting computer, even completly re-downloading the game, and none of these operations helped in any way.
However, I was able to play in normal conditions by using mobile data.
And the problem seem to have disapeared after doing a Network Reset in the windows settings.

Having the same problem since August 7th, constant disconnects with error 90006.
I've also been having this same issue and im from Argentina. It's extremely annoying to see how Square Enix hasn't given a single response to this when it's been happening for DAYS. While I know that we aren't the target audience at all and a minority, coupled with the fact they've been having server issues for quite a while, the very least we deserve is a single aknowledgement that it's happening.
Hi, I'm having the same issue since August 10. The game is completely unplayable.
South America too, since it seems to be affecting people in here and Europe exclusively.
For the last two days, I've seen myself in game have a disconnect icon several times, huge lags, and then eventually disconnect. I'm on Aether/Jenova, in NY.
Nothing has changed in my setup in this time, my internet is fine, I've checked all my drivers, checked for exception in firewall, and did several re-installations, all to no avail.
After almost a week of constant disconnects and 90006 errors, I've been playing for a couple hours straight right now with no issues and no need for a VPN. Let's hope it keeps it up.
I was just in an expert roulette, everyone random but all from Jenova, and we all had disconnect icons. One was stuck for >5 min without being forced to logout. Another dc'd but was able to come back a bit later. Seems to be getting more frequent.
I've also tried to use a VPN, even though I'm not South America, cuz why not. Didn't work.
Same here, South America (Ecuador) too and it started 3 or 4 days ago. Literally unplayable. Gaming VPN did help a lot but did not fully stop it from happening. SqEx please fix it ASAP, there's some ultimate prog going on in here!

since around 2 to 3 weeks i get dc'ed very often
and in main game times even more
right now i got dc'ed in mids of a dungeon and wait in a queue of 1600 -.-
I believe like somebody before said, it is related to peak activity... I'm able to play without issues in the morning from 6-10 PST or from 22 and beyond... I'm already unable to play; most likely the weekend have something to do with it but RIP.
peak activity or not, in the end it would be cool if that will fix itself someday in the near future^^
Got suddenly disconnected, and my waiting queue was rough 1600 players. This amount dropped to 311 in 20 min approximately, but now is stuttered in this number for long time. The window never drops from 311 players in queue.
Problems restarted today, Saturday. Had both 90002 and 2002 errors during a cutscene and when trying to log in again.
I've been having problems for almost a week or two on the NA servers. I've only disconnected occasionally, but I've been having incredibly severe lag, like everything freezes, sometimes upwards of 20-30 seconds, though that long usually means an outright disconnect, where I'm able to move and cast spells, but suddenly everything catches up in the space of a single second. I can tell it's caused by packet loss thanks to a real-time monitoring program. Every single lag spike coincided with a packet loss jump so bad it actually went off the charts. I've been watching them for hours now and every single one is timed with a tower of ping that'd make the Crystal Tower look like a toothpick. According to the pathping, I'm losing 80-100% of my packets during those spikes on an NTT node just one hop before the server. It does this regardless of whether it's at peak time or not.

Spriggan on Chaos seems to be having some issues.
Same problem here. Of course, today is no wonder seeing as the EU Servers were attacked, but it started around 1.5 weeks ago. It seems to fluctuate on how bad it is. In the beginning, the worst times were the middle of the night (3 AM GMT+2) and early morning (7~8 AM GMT+2), but now it seems to just happen whenever and if it's really bad I get disconnected multiple times trying to watch cutscenes. I mostly get kicked during cutscenes and loading screens, so maybe it's something to do with loading a lot of data?
crystal coeurl, getting 90006 error and are super laggy. already tried everything everyone else tried in this post . this is infuriating i was just abot to finally beat e12 and sudden error 90006 dc , even managed to play with awfull lag spikes that mess up my monk rotation non stop. square enix should refund our game time this has been going on. for me this has been goin on for at least a week and a half.
I come here to register my constant problem with disconnection caused by error 90006. This has been happening for at least 10 days. I tried everything that was recommended but I still have it, some days more often others not so much. Today, 08-18-2021 I'm falling every 3 minutes.
Has happened multiple times today, as of 8/20/21. Yay.
Been happening since yesterday, just like last weekend, just got booted with 90006 while yday in zandor i was getting 90002 along other people.
:( Thanks. I have been having issues connecting to FFXIV (Tonberry server from Sydney) via OPTUS Cable around June 2021. Has since tried to solve via mobile tethering.
Strangely, OPTUS mobile tethering network has no issues, but constantly drops out if I switch back to cable.
Prior to this, I have had no issues with FFXIV since ARR. I have just installed ExitLag and zero disconnections now.
Can't wait for OCE Servers to come!
Constant 90002 on Spriggan (Chaos) in Europe. Playing has been impossible for the past day, and logging in has been taking longer and longer due to random disconnect for the past 3 weeks.
I'm experiencing the same on Omega;.. It seems that there is another problem today. :/
Same on Ragnarok. It has been bad for the last few days but today I literally disconnect the moment I connect with various errors (I haven't even seen some of them before). So at this moment it is completely unplayable.
Im getting smashed this morning just like yesterday...
I'm a new player, me and a friend had multiple disconnections today, it started in a Raid and we're not the only ones disconnected, it continued after for one more hour and we couldn't even talk to an NPC without being disconnected
EDIT: For some reasons, the dcs disappear when you use a VPN even a free (and slow) one...
I used protonVPN
Same thing happening on Spriggan...
