Glowing weapons

why not this game have the glow i like the glow makes a poweful feeling happen please make a weapons glow more and give player the royal oath of power thank you

The glowing would just make this game seem like any other MMO. :/ The creative aspect would be that the weapon is actually better to look at, maybe some extra effects when dealing damage, as mentioned earlier. Or not have the weapon actually glow, but make the colors more vibrant.

This game doesn't have the glow yet. (thank goodness) Let alone does glowing weapons make people feel more powerful than it makes them feel like they work for the circus.

I'm still not sold on the idea.

I even think the Lantern Shield looks a little tacky, but at least it's the color of a normal flame.
I guess we'll see.

power to the glow represents distill the meaning of weakness from player life and bring newfound strength. glow weapons of light the beautiful facade thank you.

i would like a unique glow. and i love the lantern shield, it stands out, its beautiful, and i couldnt wait to own one for myself ^_^ now i do, now i am happy :D

I'm all in for glowing effects on weapons with Materia. The glowing emanating from the weapon is a good indicator of powerfulness.
I'm all out for weapons' glowing in general. It's seamless and gives headache after some time you look at your weapon, that doesn't seem to be a weapon but just a shockstick. I mean, if I would've liked glowing weapons I would've played f*cking Tron or Star Wars.

Just tastes eh, don't take it like it's truth.

I agree. weapons shouldn't glow in a manner than make it look gaudy to others. shouldn't overtake the look of the blade a la EQ.

I am up for unique/abstract looking weapons, like the EQ Whistling Fists. again, keep down the gaudiness.

As long as they can do it tastefully and not just "Make sword glow orange!" if they added small lines and notches that seemed to be run off the "Aether" of it's element that would be good.

would love to see more items like the lantern/bladed shield. and while i would not exactly be a fan of flames or other effects directly on weapons. added effects when you do damage with them would be nifty. sparks when you hit something with a storm axe ect.
