Fact is game is crap and is going to stay that way for ten more years at this rate.
Is that for you to decide? who is in charge here to tell who should stay and who should leave? right now this game needs more players not less. Its SE's responsibility to make sure that unhappy players do not keep quitting. Thank GOD that smart individuals at SE made it free on monthly basis and that is the reason a lot of players are still hanging around. Otherwise this game would have sunk faster than Titanic.
It shocks me that even at this point people have same attitude and trying to chase unhappy players away as if game is doing so exceptionally good.
It's not that people don't want to chase them out, it's just people are sick and tired of hearing something that boils down to "OMG THIS GAME IS THE SUXX0RZ!", we all know the game is in a bad state and Yoshida is pretty much building this game from the bottom up. So why complain about it? It's not going to help in any way.
Think you missed the point there lol, on time or not, the release dates were way out of proportion to what you'd expect and what other studios were able to accomplish. FF12 was 5 years after 10, 4 years after 11, and was still a ps2 game. Even Wada knows their team is slow.
Nope, when people say "SE is slow", yet they've kept just about every release date with the exception of FFXIII for obvious reasons, you can't really say they're a slow company, especially considering:
FFX: May 2002Quote:
FF12 was 5 years after 10, 4 years after 11
Unlimited Saga: December 2002
FFX2: March 2003
Front Mission 4: December 2003
FFX2ILM: Feb 2004
and so on. So I didn't miss the point, it's just people blow Square's "slowness" out of proportion because of their personal beliefs on how fast they should be pumping out updates in XI and XIV. Wada also believes the general public should be testers for any of their MMOs even past beta.
60% of the forumers here are over exaggerating xD
I dont think you wanna compare a 2004 vanilla wow to a 2010+7-8 months FFXIV, the comparison is not even fair, vanilla wow had more content on its release day, than FFXIV will have probably by the 1 year mark of it's deathbed span.
As for the guy you quoted, most of your points with the exception of the earthquake are irrelevant, the battle system was clunky but it was not broken, it could have been tweked and improved, the graphics to me atleast are meh, i'm not a graphic whore so idgaf plus it instantly shrunk the games player base by a lot(Bad marketing decision) as for the 5-6 months and planning ahead, well this game had 5+ YEARS THATS YEARS!!! Even tanaka said they had a full one year of content already planned and worked for this game, so where is it ? i hope is not those 40 NM that are a joke.....
