Are Monks weakest DPS?

Monk is the best single target dps ingame. period.

Depends on content...though luckily most new contents favors mnk a lot better now.

Still though mnks still burn TP like no tomorrow, and their burst is only average. So it balances it out depending on content.

In a fight, in this case a brd will beat a mnk within the 1st minute of the fight and probably the 2nd minute of the fight, and if they are bursting adds...mnks are just bottom of the well if you consider all the dps.

It will take a good 4-5minutes before mnks pull ahead, but it tell nothing on how the fight is done (which mechanic is most important in xyz fight).

Mnks on the 1st minute even with PB is somewhere on average 250-300ish with mechanics added in, a brd is going at 500ish no problems in most fights. Then the position slowly reverses.

With PB a monk can hit easily 350++ within the first minute 250-300 is actually bellow average.

Why hasn't this thread been buried back into the abyss that it crawled out of? I will never understand why someone would bump a thread that was created during the game's launch week.

Mechanics. Brds are more or less immune to mechanics.

Because this forum has tons of people that are a) easily trolled and b.) full of highly entertaining nonsense.

I can consistently burst in the high 400s with my PB opener at my current gear so whatever monks you are basing those #s off of are horrible.
