The only thing that is stopping them right now is cost, but the would like to add it down the road. They also want to add FATEs to those rides.

Yoshi-P said there are a lot of aspects of FATE that haven't been implemented yet. So even if you think you know how they're going to work, your knowledge is currently limited.

Nobody reads anymore. Anyway why should a video game be so good that it takes precedent over everything in rl. I'll enjoy whatever they end up releasing.

I don't think it would need to be done any differently than it was done in XI. All they did, like 1.0's boat, was put you in a zone where you are above a low quality rendition of the portion of 'vanadiel' you were traveling over. It wasn't the same zone as the people doing stuff on the ground. You actually didn't see people or monsters, just the landscape you would actually be traveling over. I don't think it would be hard at all to do this.
