If people seriously don't like jump, get over it. You're not being forced to use it, unless it will be included in fights, where you must jump over certain things (which makes sense, because, why would great heroes of Eorzea be limited to standing and running and die in a fire because they couldn't jump over it)? SE is looking to make the game more fast-paced. Introducing jump caters to the inclusion of all sorts of abilities that monsters may now use. When I say the 'novelty of it will wear down', I mean that you won't find people jumping up and down everywhere you go. What you don't consider is if the ability to jump will have any utility...

The first part you made a remark saying this is new to FF mmo, so I was also saying jumping is new to the Souls games. Demon souls didn't have jumping, Dark souls does.

Second part:
Collective Knowledge is, how you say, smarter than one persons knowledge. It's an instance where not one person is correct but everyone is right. So, some people think jumping is a great thing others don't , like me. So it's obvious the best solution would to create a system like FFXIII. Where you go to a ledge and a prompt comes up saying "hey press x to jump over this." That way you can have your stupid little jump animation and go over stupid little things. I also don't have to deal with your stupid animation all over town.

Yes Rokien called your argument stupid, then you claimed it wasn't an argument. So by process of retroactive elimination your argument is not an argument and therefore not stupid. However it offers no room to discuss an alternative to jumping and is more of an "in your face" statement.

Despite the loose and mostly subjective nature of both of your arguments Rokien never insulted you directly nor called you stupid bur rather called jumping as a whole stupid as well as your "dont like it dont use it comment" stupid.

You, however, did call him rude and insulting on your and other player's behalf then continued to threaten him via jumping besides him for no other reason than to insult and annoy him. At no point does Rokien insult you nor threaten you for upholding your like but jumping.

Did I miss something?

That was actually partly my fault. I made what I thought was a light hearted and harmless joke by posting that the two of you should get a room and jump on a bed together thinking it would ease the tension in this thread.

Your next response was a direct insult towards Rokien claiming that he is not up to your standards (somehow I think this was more personal than just about jumping). Rokien, feeling attacked on a personal level, retaliates by twisting your own standards against you, calling you single and suggesting you lower your standards.

That's pretty much it. You decide.

Alpha tests are server stability tests so... having a bunch of players crowded in one area and doing complex animations (jump) is probably putting the server through it's paces.

Just so you know. Animations have nothing to do with stability. They're completely client side.
