What is the point of playing tank other than warrior?

This screams salty for some reason. You are complaining about people eating aoes in a dungeon. Oh gawd the humanity that casual content doesn't kill the tank immediately with aoes when they use their nuts in a boss fight because SE balances it around the casual players who don't even use cool downs.

Job balance of all time. They should unironically just delete all the tanks except Warrior at this point and give you a weapon skin of the other jobs.
There is *zero* reason to play anything else. War just holds a monopoly on everything now.

No. GNB is the king of dps right now on tanks. I have no idea about PLD but I was able to clear the test dummy for the ex trial easily on GNB with a mistake at basically fresh lvl 100 with no food only old pot and a piece of the job gear missing. On my War with the same stipulations (minus the missing job gear piece being on the war) it was unable to clear the check with a perfect rotation by like 4%. Drk they just screwed up on its management generation rate and I expect they will add mana to something like carve and spit to compensate for the man's difference.

The dps difference between Gnb and War is double digits.
They do the same. Check the trials.

LMAO. Check again on FFLOGs buddy. The three tanks of DRK, PLD, AND WAR are all within 100-200 dps of each other while GNB is almost 500 dps or even higher with raid buffs at the top end. Which means the potential of the 3 are similar, while GNB is the king (for a third expansion in arow).

He not complaining about casual player dying cause they eat an AoE. He right in a sense, in most content, healer and dps can't fail mechanic much whitout dying after 1 or 2 mistake while tank can casually challenge themselves to survive with 4+ vulne stack when they are bored. That gap in defence is so bad in fact that it hard to change anything about overall difficulty for healer in content. The game would benefit from more ''rapid fire'' mechanic that quickly stack vulne.

variety and fun. i enjoy switching them up and playing all of them.

While WAR has ridiculous sustain, there are very few situations where anyone would actually need that much sustain. I prefer GNB because I find it more enjoyable to play. Usually when I die as a tank it's because nothing is gonna keep me up with my six vuln stacks (them DT dungeon bosses be crazy) no matter which tank I play.
