The problem is that in his reaction, three-quarters of what he said contradicted many things he had said before or even multiple times in the same video,
furthermore, he hasn't been playing FF14 since level 60, which is at the very beginning of Stormblood.

He has no right to make such statements when he doesn't play the game and doesn't know which direction the game is heading.

It's true that some content creators may inject their personal preferences into their videos about the game, and not everything should be taken at face value by the devs that's impossible anyway.
However, they generally share the sentiments of the game's community and what could be improved, etc.
Moreover, when he himself talked about problems in World of Warcraft, he did exactly the same thing as those creators, so it's somewhat contradictory.

Additionally, many of his statements in the video were quite detached from reality, especially the part about the graphics, which was clearly exaggerated and utopian,
the fact that he would play FF14 if the game had the same graphics as FF16 is certainly one of the things that made me smile the most.
It was so hypocritical, Asmongold is known for changing games as quickly as he changes shirts, he'd probably play it for a maximum of 2 weeks...

How much do these content creators pay people to post threads about their content on multiple accounts multiple times a day for them? I'm curious if its worth it as a side gig.

I mean hes not completely wrong with thr graphics comment.

The base game looks way too washed out that many people use basic external shaders to make the colors pop more. Theres also a lot more jarring low quality, pixalated textures in a lot of places that gives the game feel outdated.

The reason why WoW's graphics tend to be more favorable is because its art style is alot more colorful and pronounced than FFXIV's where it has that odd blend of anime and realism which usually doesnt look too good.

So I can understand where hes coming from..i still prefer the FFXIV art style (really hoping that 7.0 polishes things)

I would love to get paid a few hundred dollars for having some of the same opinions as content creators. But a lot of them are most likely farming likes and views when the community has been discussing these issues since endwalkers came out or since at least 6.1
