housing conundrum: there needs to be a better way.

But its usualy not just 1 person. And they also include mediums and larges which are highly demanded and lack supply. 1 large easily collects 100+ bids. Mediums a bit less extreme, but still arent easy to obtain. Sure, you can get the S to at least start getting into housing and slowly working your way upward. And this is recommended to do anyway since ward take overs on this barely make a diffirence.

But even if S's dont suffer, those ward takeovers are still a problem that should be handled asap. That a house is free doesnt mean someone just has to go multi owning, as that over time just repeats the same issue over and over again. To me at the current state of the game, that should be a bannable offense (grandfathered can be the exception here), just to avoid the issue showing up in the future. To be even more graceful, they can even decide to make it possible for now, but with a statement that when housing becomes an issue again, they can lose their house if they own multiple (forcing them to either release them themselves, or its random, and with a risk of losing an M while only keeping an S).

Except it's not agaisnt the ToS, thus not bannable, yall really need to start understanding that, you are not entitled to a house just because you pay your subscription, you go through the bidding process like everybody does, it doesnt matter if you multiown or not, you are on the same level from a lottery standpoint, also mediums and larges are a luxury, you dont NEED a medium or a large, hell technically you dont even need a small either, you can just use apartments, they work just as well.

Anybody can get a house, it's up to you if you want to do the effort or not to make an FC for it, as for mediums and larges as I mentioned, they are in limited supply, and they are a luxury, you dont need one.

Oh yeah ? And who choses when "housing becomes an issue again" ? Based on what ? Or how about, hear me out, people keep what they have, because they have worked for it, and you continue bidding, just like multiowners have to do when they get houses, how about that ?

Yall will really need to understand one day that it aint happening, multiowner houses are not going away, you can keep complaining, it aint going anywhere, these people have worked and earned their houses, they have spent countless months if not years getting what they have, you dont deserve it any more than them, you dont take away something from someone to give it to someone else because somehow in your mind they "deserve it more", that aint how it works, as long as the ToS isnt broken of course, and in the case of multiowning, it isnt broken in any way.

Also 1 extra comment but that's more towards you than an in general comment, you are on Ragnarok, EU is housing galore, there is literally housing for everybody, stop trying to take stuff away from others just so you can get an upgraded house, you dont deserve it anymore than anybody else.

Because everyone was looking at those things to be a solution and yet none of them address the underlying problem:

Supply

Instanced housing can address the supply problem but SE needs to acknowledge that when someone says "housing", they're after a house and not an apartment.

Or option 2 : Just accept that housing supply is limited on purpose because it's something that not everyone is meant to have.

I know, that idea is crazy to yall, but if they wanted to "fix" the supply, it would have been done a long time ago.

Just do instanced housing. Each plot can have any number of houses on it. When you click the placard, you get a list of houses you can see there (with thumbnails).
Less popular locations will have their prices reduced over time to ensure someone uses them.
With hundreds of houses per plot, the streets should look much more populated than they do now.

It's such a bad argument to say "If SE hasn't already fixed it then it is fine". If that were true then the DRK invuln wouldn't have been changed so many years later.

I honestly don't understand why you are so against instanced housing assuming it doesn't affect the already present wards. All it does is allow everyone access to the system instead of relying on RNG to have that access.

I know the supply is limited. I don't have problem with limited supply.
I have always found the chances tolerable.

I look at it as one element of this house acquiring game. So the supply is limited, I never might get house. Do I still want to join in the fray?
I adjust my expectations and consider my chances at the limits of the supply.

And go about my day.

Should I want to change the rules/elements of the game? Brute force my victory? I just want to add that I am equally ambivalent about people who do want instances. Maybe amused by those who want to change the acquiring system again and again.

i finally got a house but i still stand by my opinion that the lotto is a bad system that doesn't necessarily need to go away but is in dire need of improvement. in a way that raises the odds for those who have been trying for what is currently way to long.
like i said i did talk to people who long finished the game and have been trying for almost 2 years and their really is no excuse for that.
especially when the msq starts rewarding with furniture.
