Jokes on you, if it's DF contents I will almost always outDPS majority of pug DPSes as an ASTROLOGIAN in trash pulls. Even more so with other healers. But that's not because I'm -that good-. It just tells me the average DF folks I encounter are just not pressing buttons constantly & that is fine. This however, rarely happens if I run DFs with my DPS main friends or static folks who I knew personally to put in effort with what they're playing.

I think you're the one who had too much faith in your 'trusted good DPS' :rolleyes:

Yes, because spamming the AoE equivalent makes sense a difference. How much of Dyskrasia II do you spam in actual challenging content? Only in Dragonsong, and it's only relevant in one phase out of seven. Huh. For such compelling gameplay, you sure don't use it. Almost like the difference between spamming Dosis III and Dyskrasia II is non-existent.

It doesn't suddenly make healer gameplay any more engaging because you're trading one boring button for another. Looking people up on the Lodestone doesn't amount to much. They can be using alts for one reason or another, and frankly, leveling a job in this game isn't much of an accomplishment. No, you wouldn't. Good DPS burst for significantly more than healers. Either you aren't playing with good DPS players or you're assuming they aren't good when in reality they're conversing their kit for the upcoming boss or a larger pack. Assuming all things equal, if you put a DRG with everything ready to go against SGE in a ten pull pack. That DRG will outshine you by a mile.

This is the highest level content excluding Ultimate. Anything below that you don't need a healer whatsoever. Dungeons? Even DRK has cleared all of them with three DPS. EX? Not your average raider who, while lacking experience, is still a decent play; a green parser if you will. No, it's the person who can barely handle simple mechanics and usually dies once a pull. That's who they're catering content to. And it's why healing suffers so much in this game. If you're average, you're already playing above expectation.

Then maybe they should solve the real problem? Tanks defensive skills should have nothing but damage mitigation tools, not a bunch of self healing tools.
