They would not be very uncommon after SE open the Garlean stronghold in Mor Dhona. I predict 3 month after the stronghold is open.

I'd say the crafting one, if you didn't have all 50s pre-achievements, is a bit more feasible. But then again, I had all the DoW jobs to 50 before the achievements, which is why the regional ones seem so far off.
You didn't actually think I held that percentage with high accuracy, did you? I just thought of a reasonable number.
Edit: Actually I'd like to change that number to 99.98%, 70 seems more reasonable.
I wonder what other kinds of achievements can be added now.
Turn-ins of gear to companies for expeditionary missions?
Amount of gil gained form opening chests?
This is the only problem I have with the achievements. They are a long term goal, but after spending all the time aiming to finish an achievement there should always be some kind of reward to show off, be that an item or a title. It's interesting that completeing 5000 levequests gives you a title, but doing that over again for 20 achievement points and you get nothing else is a little stingy. I can't really see the incentive to do that. Especially considering that that's 10000 levequests that you can't use on the local, faction or company leves too. Add on the fact that you have to wait to for the timers to award you those leves and you have a good wait before you can get those points.
Whilst I get that achievements are meant to be long term goals (and I fully support that) but I think something more has to be given than just points, especially for these final ones. Using the crafting/gathering as examples, you get titles for the penultimate achievement (if you view them as a progressive series, though you can just do this high-tier one at any time) and an item reward for the last. This should be a common thing across all progressive achievements at the very least, and the rewards should be suitable and possibly reflect what was achieved. Maybe Key Items that give better rewards for certain leve types or increases the leve allowance you get every 12 hours by 1.
If my math is right (and the info I'm using at the minute is also right) then it would take almost 3.5 years to do this one achievement if you spent your leve allowance only on regionals. If that's so, then you really do need more than 20 points to even warrant thinking about heading for this achievement. These kinds of achievements are going to be gained accidentally rather than an achievement that is going to be worked towards - like achievements should be - and that might only be after 8 or 10 years. That's a little too long term to get nothing out of it, that's for sure. I don't even think personal satisfaction is going to be sufficient by that point.
As far as leve's you team up and share these leves with friends or people that are intrested in doing these achievements. As far as the gil leves how know what mobs they will implement in 2.0 and how much gil we will get from them also, the fact that the level will not stay at 50 for ever so you will have to level again and a mob family we versus might just drop gil also. Finally the only achievement that blows my mind, is the hamlet defense ones. 5,000 of each i know they are going to go up to level 5 but, i just don't know it seems kind of crazy for 5,000 of these for each city. I could be wrong so i am not gonna go on about how ridic it is but, i will say unless they keep offering good rewards such as the AF seal and so on i don't see very many people getting this if any.
I am cool with just about all the achievements...except for the gathering ones...4000 gathers? Three times? Seriously? That's insane. I've been leveling MIN on Grade 5 point since I think level 35 and I'm 47 at the moment. I've just broke 1000/4000 in just that one region. It's insane. Doesn't seem to compare to the DoH achievements.
I understand some achievements should take a long time to get. I'm a firm believer that if there is no effort, it's not worth doing. That said.. some of these achievements, long term or not, are ridiculous. I'm mostly looking after the corpses one. I played FFXI for seven years, I farmed giants daily, killed countless goblins in parties, and all around stomped things in the ground. I never, ever, came close to the amount of gil from mob drops as that achievement requires. Not even close.
