I undercut to make it come 1st on list
..... Only people I know who complain about undercutts are RMTs. This is how a global economy works. If you can afford to sell it cheaper and make a reasonable proffit then do so, If not, hold on to your assets untill you can sell it for what you want at the risk of never selling. Honestly Prices are realy inflated so let the undercutting begin, If you cant take the heat then get out of the kitchen, what did you think this forum would do exactly? Think if you cried enough people would stop undercutting? Crafting and gathering is easy enough to lvl that any schmuck can cap a job in about a months time of diligent work. In the process gain gil and free mats through leves . This alows for any gamer to have a competitive edge over the RMTs and because nothing crafted will ever be out done by a droped Item this give the gamers to ability to (if they can resist the want to be lazy) not use the RMTs at all. In fact undercutting will be the eventual ruin of RMTs and the end of inflation. I for one welcome that day.
They are not undercutting...you are overpricing.
Very well said. This is exactly how I feel.
I don't understand why people get so upset that others may choose to sell things for less. It's their stuff, they can decide what it's worth to them.
I don't use the market wards often, but when I do I usually sell much cheaper than most people.. Make a quick profit and get out of there and get on with my day. I don't like my items sitting around for a week, taking up space.
Wow LOL I never thought I would see the day when people are happy and glad for undercutting. Well..KumaAkuma you made some great points at least...
I just hope in 2.0 they get rid of showing the price...
I just think you're wasting a lot of gill by trying to sell it for far less. If you undercut the current price by a bit, it will sell very fast already, you don't need to undercut for a lot just to get it to sell fast.
And if you don't use the wards a lot, it's all the more reason to not go overboard with undercutting.
But hey they're your items, if you want to just give them away, go for it.
Technically you don't even need to undercut. All you really need is to be the first seller on the item search list to get that quick sale.
Putting your item up for the exact same price as the lowest is generally enough as it will give you the coveted top spot and does not reduce the current market value of the item.
