Why is that?? Most MMO have regional server and most of the time they are localized servers too which makes it for smoother gameplay.

As far as scheduling... you could encourage your LS to host a LS forum and schedule events from there..... else after 2.0 there will be the content finder... -

On the one hand, playing in the eastern time zone gives me some pretty noticeable lag compared to those in the PST. I know for EU players it is much worse. So, an NA server would be nice... however...
I really like the worldliness of the current severs. I like that we can play with people from around the world. I like knowing that it's always primetime somewhere, and if you want to find people for an event at all hours of the day, you have a better chance than other games. I don't really know why losing this would bother me, as I don't really play with many people outside of my linkshell anyway... but, the introduction of regional servers would probably split much of my LS up; we have people from everywhere in the world. -
