Correct. It says the merged servers will have new names. It doesn't say the names will be different than how they have it listed now. It just means we won't be called Bodhum, or Besaid, or Saronia, anymore, etc.

you could take it that way but as they said before, they didnt want to name the servers to prevent people from Flocking to specific servers, causing some servers to be over crowded and others to be too empty. Which is why i think it means these names are just examples.


If they meant what youre talking about, where the servers just wont take their new names until merge, i think thats kinda obvious, cuz they arent gonna change 2 or 3 existing servers and refer to them as the same server for 2 months. also i think they would have used the word "renamed" if they meant it that way.

From what I read I had wondered if they were reconsidering that whole idea, and possibly deciding to give the names if using a different merge method (as they are now.)
I could be mistaken of course.

If they were examples, it would say they were examples. We're not as blind as you think

I doubt that there will be such an influx of new players between now and March 27th that the servers couldn't handle it. Are you just disappointed with your appointed server name? lol

nah im not, I'm going to Durandul apparently, but if i dint like it i wouldn't cry about it on the forums, id simply talk to my friends in game and move to whatever one i wanted to go to. which is why these probably arent the names cuz Sargantiousnesasshatbullshit would have like 100 people on it if the names were what they are on this post.

Honestly I think they let us know the names during the announcement because they want and need people to go the Ragnarok server. They say they have plans if the world is underpopulated but I really wonder what that could be.

I don't think we have to worry about server names going random on us. Sure, we could have misunderstood.. It could be a poor translation. But I really don't think SE'd make a mistake that big, showing us an example without saying it's an example, and freaking everyone out. lol

Also, they're not labeling them 1-10 anymore. It seems that idea died.

To help put your mind at rest, Shosasosa, the German translation reads:

One could argue that I'm not translating the original Japanese, but this wouldn't be the first time the English translation has been a bit less than vague. Hopefully this clears things up.
