This is FF my friend, where healers have access to one of the two most powerful elemental spells in the whole franchise. Holy. Where healers will spend their turns attacking and buffing their allies until several turns of damage come.
Also in d&d healers primary role is damage, because if you heal mid battle you get killed by attacks of oportunity. And spells are not free, the sooner something is dead the less you have to cast and rest.
Pure healers are just a lazy concept unless there's massive damage incoming to keep you healing 100% of the time. And I can bet my life on it that this wouldn't make dungeons clearable with the community as it is right now. Just saying.

Agreed. Seeing as how I still see healers struggle with the Vault at high item levels to this day without casting a single DPS spell, this would make healing impossible for a lot of players.

If Yoshi-P wants healers to only heal he better make healing harder. Because currently if you only heal you can play tetris and heal at the same time.

it is also optional to do the best rotations isn't it? pressing 1 button a minute is kick worthy, regardless of role. You can't tell me how I should DPS if I can't tell you how to heal

If you are a HEALER you bloody well HEAL. I'll be well annoyed if the healer was NOT healing. THAT would be a problem.

If I'm kept alive all the way to the end of a dungeon, to me the healer has done its job

and what is your comment about a SHIELD healer, outhealing a pure healer, while the shiled healer out dps 2 DPS, a tank, a LB, where the LB out dddps the pure healer?
