Same here.
And since I do not want Gath to cry, though his tears can be sold for millions of gil, I shall contribute to the topic as well.
I am curious to see one thing about songs. In Ragnarok Online, songs were constant effects where the bard kept playing, but could also use it's ranged attacks while the song was in effect.
Are we going to see XI type songs where it's a cast buff, or will we see a consistent AoE as long as the Bard is sining, and if so, can the Bard still attack? I think that would be a nice twist for this game.
One question: If your a guy (Assuming of course) then why does your sig have a picture of a girl saying yay, im awesome? -3-
Besides that, I have never minded ARC -> BRD. I plan on playing ARC, PGL, and LNC after the patch so don't pester me because they are all low leveled. D:
I first thought it was so hilarious that to gain Bard, you had to level Archer. It was as contradictory as gaining the job of Ninja by leveling Conjurer but some small traits(ninjutsu/ elemental magic) seem to tie them together but it's not obvious for the casual player to acknowledge so easily.
Yeah, FF-Tactics had something somewhere in unlocking new jobs and stuff but it required prerequisites to unlock new jobs, I'm not so sure you had to level them completely to gain even more.
Anyone? Does anyone know for sure what I'm missing? FF-tactics must be playing a part in this somewhere.
I personally dislike the idea of Archer & Bard, but in some ways it does make sense. FFXIV still seems to be about producing hybrid classes.
The mobility that Archer has, is what Bard needs as well. Other classes just don't have the time to run around like a mad man.
It's also a nice excuse to lower the damage Archers do a bit, since it's not just a damage dealer anymore. Which might prevent the Archer only parties at endgame. (There is no doubt in my mind that those come back when their weaponskill damage gets fixed)
Ofcourse when the beast named Archer is tamed, Musketeer will make it's entrance...
