Anything BUT viera race, PLZ show your support

I want to see a race that looks like the Au Ra in their original concept art first looked. The females atleast anyways. Right now female Au Ras are just a Miqote mk2. slim ver.

Mixed races would be cool. Wouldn't require as much work, but would add a lot of variety.

They should add 2 races in same time for everyone is happy !
Viera then another one for people want something more animal !

No they really should not. That would suck up WAY TOO many resources. Keep it one at a time, otherwise we may end up content starved.

Page 284 and page 285- if you read the text above the images, it says "Au Ra Concepts The Viera." For all intents and purposes, the "Viera" would have been named the Au Ra. They could have just as easily used the example of "Miqo'te Concepts The Ronso" before the race was ever made. The name Viera just attaches familiarity to the presentation since it was an existing race from FFXII.

...And that could have been a reason for straying away from the Viera despite it being "the most requested race in FFXIV." Rose tinted nostalgia glasses are a dangerous thing, and so are the expectations that come attached to those kinds of subject matters.

Transplanting this here because equality. Only showing support for no Viera since it was just an example in a poll, not actually asking the player base if they wanted that specific race.

Personally, I'd love to see more tweaks for character customization than another new race for a long time. Muscle sliders, more color mixes (I see you, Yugiri, with your pretty cherry blossom tinted scales). Ear, face, fur or scale patterns not locked to a specific set. Maybe I want to slim that Elezen's neck down a little, or bring the head down a little bit. Maybe my character has killer long legs in role-play. Hair long enough to sit down on. (:p Yes, I'm aware of Yoshi's 'please wait for PS5.' statement.)

I think everyone is over reacting about this. If They do add this race it will be a Human body with a bunny rabbit ears and a tail. Just like Miqo'te and Au Ra Since they wont change the feet and hands so its like the race from FF12. That would mean having to redesign the gear and they wouldn't do that just for one new race.

And the problem is if they try to be more creative or your gonna get is a race that ether has the same type of a human body and maybe with more beast features eye's, ears, nose, tail and skin. Maybe something more animal looking but it will be more hybrid with a human body like what we have now.

Thread is TL;DR, so I'll just pitch my desire for another small race. Preferably one with monkey tails.
