I would definitely like to know exactly what that means with the ability to increase the number of apartments.

Does that mean that when the first apartments are all gone (as we all know they will be on some servers on the very first day!), more will automatically open up, or will we all be waiting around for yet another patch for a few more apartments to open up?

At a guess the "we are ready to increase the number of rooms whenever we want" means they'll be able to manually adjust it. We won't know until the patch hits and apartments run out though.

I'm kind of worried about this apartment thing. I really really really want one because I can't afford an estate or the upkeep and need a stable and aquarium (cause its so cool) but based off of the number of tenants allowed in each, are there going to be enough for everyone? Or is it going to be a race to grab one when this goes live?

We won't know until patch day. I'd say if you want an apartment in a specific ward (especially the first few) then you're probably going to want to be ready in the correct zone and prepared to spam those login attempts. If they do run out, we can only hope that square is on the ball with adding more apartments quickly.

It should be the middle npc at the back of the lobby (3:45-ish https://www.twitch.tv/finalfantasyxiv/v/89793998). There's a repair npc, the house npc (you want this one) and then a shop npc behind the counter.

Was gonna agree with the above. If youre interested in an apartment, just log out in the ward /city of your choice (play it safe and go for a wierd number, by no means #1) How I got my house..and MUCH more apartments than houses lol. Headed for a cozy spot in Uldah this time around but just wish theyd get around to releasing housing in Ishgaurd already ;/
