This is only a temporary solution, and using the command will also hide other character's weapons, too. While having your weapon hidden, other players will still be able to see your weapon. Logging out will also reset the display toggle as well.

Patch 1.19 will have the feature finalized to be more like the current display headgear option where both you and other players will see your weapon toggled off.

Wow! I didn't think the dev team would be that on task when it came to such a seemingly small complaint. I thought we'd have to wait until next year's summer festival event to get something like that introduced. Would still appreciate a look at linkshell management tools though.

This isn't always a male only suggestion if that's what you're implying, as I've personally witnessed my ex girlfriend commenting on the robe sets in XI looking much better without the parachute pants.
