3D Printed Avatars? Yes thank you please.

Back when I played rockband I found out about 3D printed Avatars 5 days after the service ended -_-
The chance to get one here sounds to me like a dream come true.

Cool idea, I'd never do it, but it is neat. The 3D figure prints you can get for world of Warcraft seem popular enough, time for an expansion into other games maybe?

3D Printed Avatars of our characters would absolutely amazing!!!!

This next video is from the discovery channel and talks about the actual printer http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9UyBGf01A0 I can't really tell the quality of the final product though.

The figures are sealed in a glass dome. I don't know if you have to break the seal or not for access to them. So hopefully whatever SE gets us is quality and we have access to the model in case we wanted to touch it or paint it ourselves.

Perhaps once, when the technology was newer; But as you can see in the great video above, they can print in colour.

I would love to see 3D printed avatars made available as miniatures, too. I would love to play tabletop games with them.
