A possible adjustment to coil rewards? A token system?
This is for gear you want but get unlucky with, yes? Other games do a token system for this. Moving into expansion, we'll look at options, but not for 2.x coil.
With the lock-out, acknowledgment of requests to help company members out despite loot restrictions. So will hopefully have that in mid-2.4, BUT there will be restrictions on drop rates and number of assistants.
(I see this as a progressive easing tactic.)

How many turns are in the final coil?
4 turns.
The bosses we have planned are really big spoilers, so Yoshi-P strongly recommends not lloking for hints straight away.

Will there be Job-Specific for Ninja?
There will be new weapons for all primal battles etc. For armour, Ninja will be able to equip gear that other jobs equip. What job? (Punching motion.)
Main attribute for Ninja will be Dexterity. Now prepare. Up to 2.3, will be using the striking set.

Coil mounts/minions? How about an ADS mount?

Will there be an Alliance turn where we fight parts of Bahamut's body?
A good idea, but getting 24 people together to do something THAT difficult would be... rage-worthy.
But we do have the final CT area in 2.5 and 3.0 will have more alliance-based raids. That's all I can say.

Hildibrand! Is Ultros battle happening?
I mentioned it in my panel yesterday. Yes. Cue video with FFVI music.
You're gonna be BLOWN away. This is all about the comedy and fun, not the difficulty. "Please look forward to it."

Will we have a Battle on the Big Bridge - Extreme?
So last time he had two arms. It may not be extreme, but you will have him in the 8-arm version.
Patch 2.5. He needs time to grow those other six arms.
Again, means to be enjoyable, not difficult, as with all Hildibrand content.

Will Hildibrand's story continue in 3.0?
That's up to you guys. The current storyline ends in 2.5, but whether he gets blown away to the north is up to you. Maybe that applause will help...
Back in 1.x when we added the inn rooms and added something to happen in them, we had no idea it would get this big.

Will Hildibrand's mother make an appearance?
I remember that the mother was a part of the original story plans. I'm not sure where she went. Of course someone crazy enough to marry the father... please look forward to it.

2.4 Item Levels & Tomestones?
Allagan Tomestones of "Poetics" (not of Yoshida).

Mythology tomestones being phased out?
Yes, as with Philosophy (get rid of them, already!). Don't hang on to them - we won't be using them again, so please exchange them in for Soldiery.

Will the Tomestone gear upgrades using coil drops continue?
For the most part, yes.

New high level gear/accessories for Hand/Land?
Yes. There is some balance trouble with high levels in these classes, making entry difficult. Hoping to sort out by 2.45, making getting current gear easier to get, with extra gear for currently maxed players.

Housing.
Doubling number of wards for 2.4. Powerpoint presentation on how this will work.
Entry is as normal. Ward selection screen will two tabs for 60 plots per ward. New subdivision aethernets accessible from the aethernet shard (so a ward within a ward). Purchase from the placard as normal.
Starting prices? Nothing has changed from 2.38 settings.

What cross-class skills will Ninja have access to?
Need L15 PUG, and you will also get LNC actions. A smooth transition for existing melee dps classes.

Will Yugiri reveal her face in 2.4?

Eternal Bonds.

Info will be on the lodestone and you'll apply on the lodestone. Items will be a bracelet. Both persons wear them, head to an NPC in game and the rest happens from there. Ring happens after.
There will be a schedule of ceremonies and you'll have to reserve your time slot. We're being rather serious about this. There will be ceremony invitations prepared. Will be ready in 2.45 with instructions & videos.
Shows sketches of tuxedo & bride's dress, as seen in 2.4 trailer, so you can prepare. Don't go do dungeons in them!

Can you PLEASE increase the atma drop rate?
Hai! We touched on this yesterday, and we will increase the drop rate in 2.4. More than double the rate.
Trials of the Braves books - will now cost Soldiery and fewer of them. This is a gradual step to make things easier to obtain. Ninja nexus is pretty awesome.

Job-change cooldowns. Why?
Penalty for job changes exists to prevent exploitation of the long-recase skills.
Though maybe we could ease/remove those penalties for sanctuaries, like in cities and housing. This would help hunt-participation where things move fast.

Backstory to this. We only had a few weeks to tweak WHM for 2.0. We may have got really tired from the process and attempted to remove it entirely. But we're looking at other options, such as an aoe trait when out of combat.
At start of 2.0, the ONWARDS recommencement feature didn't exist, so these issues were less prominent then.

Weekly lock-out restriction will drop & duty finder will function, then phased up to individual queing, like with in 2.2.
We'll see how players go and pick our timing for this progress.
And THEN ease up on the difficulty - the petrification mechanics will be made non-fatal.

Whee the event started! Transfiguration is fun (even though I get stuck as a bat most of the time).

I wish I could try out the event with all the options. I went though the first 2 cities as monsters before getting Raubhan in Uldah. I am gonna try and get the leaders on my alt character to see the responses. Also maybe try for Minfillia or the Sultana in Uldah.

I watched the ending concert, I gotta say the fan at Las Vegas are not very hyper, NO ONE sing together with Sokken :D

I still got a ~23 day Sub and will log in every now and then when 2.4 hits. To be honest, we were already playing another game for approx. two weeks. Still a very sad day for me >_<

These guys are my friends, which I know since 2008. We started to play XIV together in 2011 (two were in Beta but didn't know that the other one played too, plus different servers.) as a tiny LS and we share some great memories from that time. Such as downing the Great Buffaloo in La Noscea with 4 people when a group of 8 right before us couldn't (They stood there and watched, even cheered at the Buffaloo to defeat us ;< ) or hanging around in Ul'dah or Natalan.

The game as it is now just doesn't seem to appeal as much as 1.x did and oh well.. We still want and are going to play together but it won't be XIV anymore.

Personally, I just hope the expansion really does bring some kind of a difference. The last patches felt a bit alike (3 dungeons -> 1 new, 2 HMs; collect tomestones for gear; primal battles; beast tribes; a few sidequests; a bit Hildibrand; main story which isn't catching my interest as much as the old story did).

At the moment I am more interested in 3.0 than the next two updates. Maybe I will take a break too but I will definitely stay in said FC and here in the SGD (if that's alright). Today, I actually haven't said that I am going to quit completely (too).


P.S.: Shouldn't have written "my" FC, but rather something like "the one I am part of" or "our", because it is not mine so to speak. I was and am in it since the beginning and was one of the persons who signed that document back in August 2013.

It isn't all the time that you can have a well known NPC do exactly what you want.

I offered to help out and play Nanamo as needed in anything like that when I was doing the event last night but the moment I did people started offering to do it for huge amounts of gil (I wasn't saying anything about money BTW) and I got kinda disgusted and left after no one contacted me a couple of mins later.

If anyone on Ragnarok needs someone to pose as these characters for a few mins I'll be happy to help WITHOUT charging 150 bloody k for my time >_>
