The server is full, try again later (1017)

Need to contribute to this post mostly in hopes of actually getting banned. At least then I can put it behind me and move on.

Please FOR THE LOVE OF GOD just kick us from the game and tell us straight that we are not needed or wanted SE.
Think of it as a mercy like getting turned down by that girl you had your heart set on and finally being told NO.

Yeah I've been locked out since Sunday. Starting to get a little annoyed.

Honestly I just want to transfer my toon at this point for FREE so I dont have to pray I get into Behemoth. I guess I wont get to play this game with my real life friends...good job SE.

Name one MMO that has completely locked people out of the game in order to load balance and keep servers stable. There were plenty of connection issues when Star Wars hit the shelf but they never locked people out. They had extremely large ques for about a week but people could play if they would wait in the que long enough. You can't even get in a que right now and if you do you get booted from it most of the time. SE is actually denying a service that people paid for by locking them out of the game completely. Some have not been able to play for days. Fixing the ques would be a huge step in trying to alleviate peoples frustrations at this point. Ques are what keep large amounts of people from overloading a server. People would know that they would have at least a chance to play at that point.

yeah but restricting the server limit is going to ensure failure..ive been playing since beta...got locked out the last day do to the bugs. Was able to play for a bit the 1st day of early access. But now i finally get a day off work tomorrow and im not sure ill be able to log in. These arent the old days where i can sit in front of monitors/tv all day. Im working 40-50 hrs a week and when i try to play a game to unwind i am unable to get into it? Im not one to go onto to forums for games and rage like alot of the people on here. In fact...i will continue to play this game cause im sure the issue will be fixed..and overall i enjoyed myself quite i bit with what i played in beta/early access. But this will def leave a bad taste in many peoples mouth. I get launch day blues..but alot of people have pointed out..this is not the dark age of the internet anymore. Square knew what was coming and it was poor prep on their part. Perhaps they are doing this on purpose to stress test?

Was able to play during the day until about 6 pm then dced and now im locked out. I also was locked out all day sunday............So hardcore pve the login will wipe you all day.

i don't care for why people do it, idling for hours on end just to play later in the day is horrible and only contributes to this problem with people being able to connect. you are not only being selfish but you are also making it that much harder for others to play and you are to blame partially for this issue and everyone doing it should stop. that might be enough to help remove some of the congestion. when i finally logged in earlier, i forgot just how many i saw just idling and not doing anything. way to many frankly and i think SE should put in measures to prevent it. maybe auto kick people for going idling for more than maybe 20 minutes - 1 hour.

They have come right out and said that they are using this restriction to test the load. Which would have been better off being done in Beta P4 by extending the NA/EU beta time after clearing 15K+ players from 3102 error hell. Instead they chose to let it ride and now have thousands of angry users who can't get logged in while they "wait and see".
