I have not attacked anyone personally, your attack was personal and very uncalled for.

yeah, a drop-off in healer population PERIOD will cause SOMETHING to change, probably not the best solution, but something will happen.
they don't actually look at anything else.
they look at "heres the player population, broken down by primary job, player race, and subrace" and that's it.
they won't ever look here for opinions or suggestions. a 1-3% drop in overall healer players though? that would be weird. a 4-8% drop? huh. maybe look into this and tweak some numbers. 9-15% drop? reworks incoming.
the solutions being "good" isn't something anyone is hoping for at this point from what i can tell. its more "well, square enix doesn't look at anything other than the [percentages of players playing job] vs [percentage of overall players playing role job is part of] vs [percentage of overall players role makes up], so we might as well impact variables they look at (listed above).
to be fair, I'm a little surprised no one put ffxivhealerstrike or healer strike as tags in this until today, I suppose this will probably remain locked at the top of GD for a while yet, but what if the Lore Forum lurkers want to search it up :3
I'm a bit lost at what you'd want us to do. So no strike but stop playing healer. OK? We stop playing healer same effect as the strike. But to rely on content creators? I guess they could tell what the healers need but there needs to be more voices than just them.
Of course there will be people playing healers. They all are playable and viable. That isn't the issue. The issue is healers not being fun. At this point raising voices, even if it amounts to nothing, is better than being just silent and moving on.
Idunno if they really want you to stay silent, bored and miserable. Just, don't play if it isn't fun, I guess.
I can't remember if Monk players were this vocal back when MNK was among the least played jobs and then SE changed the MNK job up.
I certainly can't remember as Monk Strike at least.
I think that what people who are "against" the strike really means is, if you don't think it's fun just don't play without making such a big fuzz about it.
As long as players don't play it the numbers SE gets of active jobs will show anyways.
That's my take on it anyways why people can seem so anti about this strike.
If healers simply stopped playing due to boring job designs that would have a bigger impact than simply switching from a DD job to another.
Switching DDs won't effect any queues like if healers simply vanished.
Which, in my opinion at least, would put a lot more pressure on SE to come up with a solution than when 1 DD wasn't as played as all the other DD's.
