Generally speaking, I don't go to these particular forums due to trolls and people always complaining so this is a first.

I would like to thank the development team for going ahead and fixing a lot of the issues the game had prior to the ARR launch. I played 1.0 in beta, at launch, and for a while after that and I must admit the results of the work put into ARR makes it seem like night and day. I greatly appreciate the effort and work put into the game and hope it continues to be a success in my book.

Not only do I want to thank the entire Square Enix team for making this a better game than its predecessor, I also want to thank you for finally getting this game on the PlayStation like was promised with version 1.0

I am totally immersed with the experience, and since I don't have a PC and I don't have many other games I have played before to compare this too, I might be a bit biased. But I can absolutely see this game encompassing a part of my life for the indeterminable future. You will definitely get a sub account from me!!

I never imagined that I could be playing an MMO effectively on the PS3, but when I tried ARR, I found that the interface was really good.

Thank you SO MUCH to the entire SE Dev team, all the people who have worked to make this game the epic FF MMO that we have all been waiting on.... and a special thank you to Mr. Yoshida for being able to effectively "resurrect" a game that was suffering from so many problems that I once had a veteran 1.0 player tell me: "Just don't do it... you're better off playing WoW." I'm glad I waited and listened to him, because this game was most definitly worth waiting for! Congratulations on the launch!

Thank you very, very much! Since i'm sticking with this game since 1.0 was released it has become something very special and dear to me! I'm glad XIV turned out so well!

This game is breath taking, mesmerizing and beautiful.
My daughter and I have been anticipating this release more than any other game, ever.
While we've had issues getting signed on occasionally recently, I always remind her "just hang on, it'll be worth the wait." And sure enough, it always is. :)

I agree, the devs deserve some praise for all the hard work. I'm frustrated like everyone else for the issues so far, but they'll be resolved shortly and it'll be forgotten. Looking forward to November, DirectX11, high res textures and the future of this game :)

Server issues aside, thanks for the game Yoshi.P! You and the team have given me one of the best Final Fantasy games there is. This game shed a tear in my eye. May you ever walk in the light of the crystal. :')

And considering it's a re-make of the previously failed FFXIV 1.0.. This 2.0 is truly awesome!

Having beta tested the original but never planning on playing it on PC, but rather Playstation I missed out on the whole Legacy adventure because a PS2 version never showed.

Compared to the game I beta tested all those years ago ARR is full of more stuff and the menus are better. I never really cared about the 'more stuff' but the menus are welcome.
in general the common sense on show seems to be getting better by the day, and in my books the more out of the way those things are which take away from the countryside and music and basic exploration in this game the better.

It's now a world I can look at and listen too and explore, without so many other things pushing against it.

I've been a Square and Final Fantasy fan for the majority of my gaming life (over 20 years!) and I don't doubt that I will remain so for many, many years to come.

With 8 years of my life spent on FFXI, here's hoping for (AT LEAST) 10 more years that I dedicate to FFXIV :D

The latest patch that was introduced yesterday really did it. You said nothing about what would really happen. The game felt like a normal congested game launch yesterday! It really did my day and let all my mates also play.

In this meaning a truely meant: Thank you guys!

Also the game is pretty robust for a launch besides these little accidents (with sadly servere consequences) and the graphic is pretty good for the ressources it takes and compared to other MMORPGs.

You did an awesome job! This is my favorite mmo already. I brought ppl from other mmos to try it and they love it too ;D

I have friends who can help me when I log on and also meeting new peeps still everyday. This game is so beautiful, I love it. I am known to get lost alot, lol but half the time I am just in awe looking around and before I know it, I look around and I have no idea where I am or I getting hit by high lvl mobs lol. It's hard to pay attention sometimes when you are just enjoying the scenary and chatting with friends so I thank you very much for making the game beautiful enough for even when I get lost, I don't care :), I think of it as a scenic route ;)

Yes!!! Thank you very much. All your hard work has been worth it. You and your team have created the best MMO I have ever played. With most I am bored within a couple days because I don't like the mechanics or the look. You have made a game that has both and I will continue to play this one. Thank you for taking all of our feedback from version 1 and making something truly amazing. Here is to a long life in this game.

I'm loving this game! Thanks for not giving up on FFXIV.

As a whole, the servers need work and some minor system tweaks. Based as a whole I couldn't honestly say amazing job.

But

As a game, gameplay, graphics and everything but the fore mentioned issues the game is an amazing piece of work! The dev team has really out done themselves and delivered what a lot of people returned for and delivered what new comers can easily enjoy. Thank you!

Now if the dev team can help the network team's morale. red bull, coffee whatever they need to get this great game to the public faster that would be the icing.

When I can play this game, I love it. The world is totally immersive, the story is good, the atmosphere is beautiful. So, thank you for that.

There won't be enough posts in this thread to convey the collective appreciation us Final Fantasy enthusiasts feel for you and your hard-working team, Yoshi. I'll be supporting you with my subscription for years. Finally, an MMO worth putting my time into like early FFXI.

Wow. I have played tons of MMO's and seen lots of devs respond to problems in many different ways. I've seen them ignore problems completely or say they aren't problems. I've seen them blame other members of the team or even go as far as to blame the players. And many will just blame circumstances. To see a dev take the blame themselves, accept it, and apologize and promise to fix it is new. I'm very glad to see this and am really looking forward to playing his game more.

Thank you Yoshi P. FFXIV is a Final Fantasy fans dream. I love everything you've done with it. I love how it reminds me so much of the older games (1-6 and 9) The feel of the story and the characters and the bits of humor are done perfectly. The gameplay is fun and exciting and the world is large and beautiful... I personally can't wait for the expansions and hope that you follow the trend FFXIV had and add lots of classes and jobs to it in the future.

Thankyou Square Enix Devs , When I can actually get into the game (due to servers being full when not US Peak time) the storyline captivates me and is brilliant as a former 1.0 player it is a huge improvement. My question is this , why wasn't it like this 3 years ago ?

I am enjoying it and the storyline is brilliant.

Now go and make it so I can actually login and play .
