The point is that one can reveal one's orientation without talking about sex at all, just in casual conversation. And being that this is a social game, people have casual conversations with each other. It's nice to be able to have those conversations without someone getting all upset because I am a girl-type person who consorts with other girl-type persons.

Is that ever an issue? I mean sounds like something you would talk about with people you know in which case you'll have a better judge of their character

Casual conversation. I would totally talk about going to the movies or needing to afk for a phone call from my boyfriend with a stranger. That is not personal at all until other people take an offhand remark as some kind of liberal brainwashing technique.

I actually just recently started a Free Company called the White Wings. I've been doing everything I can to get my current members registered so we can be recognized as an official Free Company.

We are an LGBTQ Affirming/Friendly Free Company on server Hyperion, based around helping players reach higher and higher in ranks. We see ourselves as a family, and truth be told, this new found responsibility as the Free Company leader, seeing everyone having fun and helping each other, makes me very happy.

I hope you will recognize my company as an LGBT & Allies company. : )

While it is not mine, I felt I should inform folks that there is a Roegadyn-centric LGBT community on Balmung that goes by the name of BARA (FC and LS), headed up by a dear friend of mine named Brittle Slate! It is 100% LGBT friendly, is almost ridiculously friendly and compassionate towards others, and is very helpful towards members of its community, even if they're not part of the Free Company.

However, it would be nice to have more of the LGBT community in my company aside from me and my rooommate =). Everyone needs a lil glitter in their life, a rainbow here and there =).

It is not exclusively LGBT etc, however the majority of members are, and those who aren't are friendly and open. The primary goal of Rebel Storms is to have fun and enjoy the game - and play it however YOU want to play it.

Band of Enkidu - Free Company
Generaly speaking the goals of the Free Company match those of the LS - mainly because the majority of FC members are in the LS as well. However there is no requirement that members of our LS join the FC.

I'd like to post my LGBT linkshell from the Goblin Server as well: Quarrel . We're a simple linkshell for socializing primarily, composed of largely all LGBT members ( although welcoming of allies of course ). We're always up for helping one another out, but don't want to get into any themed grind like a full fledged free company. A catchy name for a linkshell .. Too bad I can think only of silly puns like "Fruits of Eorzea" which isn't catchy at all and maybe neither funny. Ragnarockerz?? Blaah ..

I'd feel very very sad for them and tell to join mine, provided they don't mind or get upset if I write something like "now I have to go mith farming with my boyfriend" or staff like that.
