I can't believe this troll thread on a subject that was beaten to death two weeks ago is 37 pages long and going strong. Unreal.
Sometimes when I do a bit of Repairing I get a message along the lines "xxx has not enough Gil to pay the 200G repair fee".
I feel really sorry for these people, but hey, they will not lose any Gil in ARR, so maybe they're laughing at me!
Even if item prices don't drop right away, that item is still going to cost the same to everyone after their gil is reduced...

dude 1: 20,000,000 gil purchasing power, drops to 2,000,000 [20x higher than dude 2]
dude 2: 1,000,000 gil purchasing power, drops to 100,000 [20x lower than dude 1]
explorer's choker = 2,000,000gil after change
dude 1: 2,000,000 gil [still 20x higher than dude 2]
dude 2: 100,000 gil [still 20x lower than dude 1]
