Semi-signed? While this would be nice, I'd much rather have a full, robust party search/availability system than just a single flag. Aion and City of Heroes both have really fantastic systems; meanwhile, LotRO and WoW are great examples of what not to do.

Implementing and expanding XI's search functions would be ideal.

Signed.. as it's obviously good, however, as mentioned before, the whole search system needs to be worked on and expanded, not just a flag!
The other equal important point mentioned as well is there needs to be more party oriented content, missions, quests, etc to give reason to party up more.

This needs to happen asap...In ffxi i used to party all the time because the LFG and /sea function worked flawlessly but in this game I have no way to search for other players easily...SE if you are reading this PLEASE ADD LFG AND /SEA ALL FUNCTION TO FFXIV IMMEDIATELY..thank you

/inv -> Looking for group with actual class/job
/inv CON, GLA, ARC -> Looking for group with my CON45, GLA30 and ARC27 at same time.
/inv CON dzemael, GLA totorak, ARC -> Looking for group with CON only to go dzemael, GLA to totorak, and ARC for grind.

/sea [job filters] [area filters] [level filters] [purpose filters] ...

And a better screen to display them, right now, we can see only 4-5 searchs per page. Something like:

Name - Location - level - purpose

Raistlin - Uldah - CON45 - dzemael
Raistlin - Uldah - GLA30 - totorak
Raistlin - Uldah - ARC27

This is very very important that we get a better version of the LFG system asap for the community of this game! Single zone shouting will only last so long until there is no one to shout to. I'm shocked this still hasn't been fully addressed yet.

Main Menu > Party > Recruit > Purpose: Seek Invite > Location: None > Submit.

Voila! Your flag is up. This has been in the game since Patch 1.18. Unfortunately, someone has to look specifically for your class to find you. Good luck. Double unfortunately, only new players use it as most veterans have adapted to the Linkshell social networking system.

Signed, signed, and signed again! I'm having such a difficult time finding a party! I quit once before and if I have to continue doing everything solo I know I will get bored again soon and quit a second time. If that happens I doubt I'll return.

What good would it be if people continue to not use it?

signed, Id rather use a flag system then the one we currently have. I'm sort of confused on how it works and I've been playing since open beta xD. Its more complicated then it needs to be.
