SCH... are we used?

God this thread is funny.

People actually think micromanaging that slow fairy separates good scholars from bad? Laughable. All you need to do is be aware of what your fairy does and fill in the gaps. Yeah, you can get minor efficiencies by placing your fairy - but that's all they are, minor.

The difference between a WHM and SCH is pretty simple. A WHM reacts to a battle, a SCH manages it. That means the SCH has to be thinking ahead whereas the WHM needs to know how to react to things. Their difference in throughput requires that difference in playstyle.

As for people that don't think SCH are used on Titan HM or anything...well, you are wrong.

Just to add a bit, I have done Titan HM and I did save a healer (who gets major props, it was very well played) who had resurrection sickness during phase changes. So please, enough with the SCH bashing. We are fine.

I agree with most of what you said, but would you mind explaining me how you keep your faery under such control? Because whenever I make her cast something, she goes to full auto again and blows all her other cooldowns immediately. Maybe I'm missing something or doing something wrong?
Just having control over Rouse+Whispering Dawn, like you said, when I need it would be a godsend.

Target a mob and use 'Obey' which will make Selene only use Embrace, full control over the Haste buffs. Obey for Eos will make her use Embace & Whispering Dawn but not her other skills, so you want to put Eos in 'steady' mode so she does not spam anything, however you have to put Steady back on when you tell her to use Whispering Dawn (Wait for her to cast it first or you'll cancel it and lose it) but you have 1min to put it back on so no worries really.

So basically, at the start of a dungeon for example, I put Eos in 'steady' and she'll only cast Embrace as usual, but no other skills? Then, once I've manually ordered her to use Whispering Dawn, I have to put her back on 'steady' untill I need Whispering Dawn again? Gonna try that next time. If it works like that, you have my utmost gratitude, because basically that's the only real issue I've been having. Having to put her back on 'steady' every time is slightly inconvenient, but quite doable.
If I could macro it, that'd be perfect, but I suppose this would be the next best thing. Succor + Whispering Dawn would pretty much solve all my AoE needs. Thanks!

Having the fairy use time to move herself into range before casting embrace compared to being placed where she doesn't need to move at all doesn't feel minor. Having people who need fey illumination, whispering dawn, and fey covenant miss out on it because the fairy is following me doesn't feel minor either. If Eos is going to blow her cooldowns, it should at least be on the right people.

You think it's minor, I think that's a matter of why not make the best of your tools. To me, if you're not trying your best with what little that works, you're not good. Matter of perspective I guess.

CELSIUS!!!!... on another note if you micro eos you pretty much heal for 1500 a every cast as well as improved virus or getting eye for an eye up to reduce aoe dmg combined with sacred soil. Trust me were amazing :p

It does. Think of all the CDs the fairy holds, you actually think it does not make any difference micromanaging it? Even manual embrace a target counts as micromanaging already.

You prolly getso used to being unable to control it to tell it otherwise, partly because of the skewed pet UI.
