JP servers are unavailable but i get 1017....are they face rolling the servers or something?

Christ, if I made as many claims to fix bugs as S-E did, my ass would be in hot water.

At this point, the S-E reps have me more upset than the server status, which is saying a lot...

I'm now getting 1017 right after clicking "Start" whereas before I at least got to choose my character.

I love this community.

Not only have they acknowledged the problem, they have also offered more free play time, said they are working on it. What more do you people want? To all those who are cancelling and leaving, good riddance. Missing out on a perfectly fine MMO just because you are impatient. Yeah, it sucks. But complaining about it and making threads on the matter over and over won't fix anything.

I had some trouble getting in this morning, but after a few attempts got in. I got kicked out of Odin EU a few hours ago, still locked out. But hey, had a good run today. Off to do something productive and carry on tomorrow.

The increase in capacity isn't going to help much unless they implement a working server queue. As it stands, the problem currently is being exacerbated by people constantly having to spam the character server instead of being placed in a queue.
