[Dev Help Please] Character Transfers Early

Well I guess I'll just have to transfer characters the hard way...with the delete and repeat. We've all come to play a game right?

Has there been any word about allowing transfers of v2.0 characters created a legacy server to a non-legacy server? I know they weren't allowing 1.0 characters to transfer during beta, but what about 2.0 characters?

I'm in the same boat as you. I wanted to roll on Behemoth, but at the time I created my character, all NA servers were locked, and so I ended up creating a character on Durandal (legacy). Now, I just completed my Darklight set and got my relic+1, so it would be very troubling to have to end up rerolling despite being a 2.0 character on a legacy server. I hope SE looks into this issue, as I'm sure there are more than just a handful of us who had to roll on a server we weren't able to choose given the character locks.

Huzzah, now when can we expect to see a name change service to go along with our Fantasia potion?

So we will have to pay more money to transfer to our friends, even after we were locked out in the first place? this is pretty low to do to your customers?

This is really outdated. The first round of transfers will be free and it has been pushed to early Oct.

To others, I am completely against name changes and I hope they never implement them. It allows people who troll and AFK in dungeons, etc. an easy out. People starting to remember your name and not wanting to do things with you? Just change your name!

EDIT: I can't seem to find now where it was said that there would be free transfers due to the launch issues, so, until it is confirmed again, I would take it as hearsay.

I saw where Yoshi-P and reps said October, but I haven't seen anything where SE said "free" or "only the 1st one is free", or anything like that.

On The Lodestone I've seen rename notices occasionally while looking through FC members lists, but nowhere else. In every case all 3 names displayed have been identical. For example:

Camate thank you for the information, much appreciated. My whole guild is on Leviathan (130 members) of Hammerfist Clan but 16 of us are on Coeurl. I hope that the rest of us can transfer to Leviathan when transfers happen in October and if not I think the whole Hammerfist Clan (HFC) on Leviathan and Coeurl should be able to transfer to another open server if that is not possible. I think its a real problem when game servers got full 1-2 hours of early access and not actual release. I want to play with my Free Company guild not pugs. I level 50 and sick of doing pugs all the time for end storyline. Get the world transfer service going for October and make it smooth: FC members all on same server, all characters/armor/gear but go as well. Please if you want to ensure you keep the playerbase that have right now, no more mess ups.

My hope is just that they offer free or discounted transfers to start. My husband and I both ended up on a server other than the one our friends are on because of character creation restrictions.
