and all that "leet" gear means nothing after you log out for the day... really dude you need gamer AA also.... making ffxiv too much like ffxi will only hurt the game. too much content that is limited to players is NOT a good game. Agreed... on Wutai, the only skilled LS I see are JP. Besides the LS I'm in (Perfection). Like everyone else just zergs with Archers and 12 mages spam healing everyone.

If the hard - corers want something hard and rare then I propose a series of fights that take a long time to complete which a nice reward at the end. Something similar to gaining Captain in 11. I say make these fights all very hard, almost incompletable. In this way you will show your skill and get a reward in the end that you can be proud of. If it is done with a party then all the better. Then you must prove your worth and your groups worth at the same time by cooperation and timing and good skills. Claiming a mob, in my opinion, only shows you can claim it, not the ability of your character. Hard fights will earn respect when you win. Yes, I think hard fights over claiming Nm's is more worthy.

What would really be the big difference making something have a world 24 hour pop or having a a triggered pop you can only do once a week? You don't have to sit there waiting for hours on end, firing up a bot program just to actually fight the damn thing. You can keep the mob/item rare since you can only do it once a week, but more importantly you actually have a chance to even do it.

And this is someone who play ffxi or any other game for 12-16 hours aday 7 days a week. Just because I do have time to play, don;t mean i want to do stuff like that. I don;t need the best gear to be good. No ine does. Its all in your head if you do.

Ability to camp + Kill it on the fly being unprepared for pop (without buffs on and everyone lined up in the right positions). Having it pop on top of your only tank and killing him, making you have to wing it and fight some hard shit with half your group.... These are the things that happen.

Someone like yourself will be killing Uraeus for the next 6 months trying to figure out why your mages keep dying to body slam.

Of course you're assuming you get the pop and not the other 3 LS' standing around all day. Lol so now i'm a baddie because I don't feel we need artificial barriers to prevent someone a chance to even do the encounter huh? Shit, if all I needed was to be jobless, playing a game where I spend the majority of my time standing still waiting for something to pop to give me "skill" I should have done it long ago.
