Wrong person to play this kind of game with. Really. I could go on for days twisting the way you got offended and thought that I was accusing you of being RMT when I didn't accuse anyone. I won't, so stop that crap it wasn't meant for you or anyone on the board. I just mentioned that this is the kind of thing RMT did in XI in a very sarcastic way.

I was talking about the guy in that thread who said he made reg parties and changed the master loot option that was in XI randomly to people in the party every couple of minute. I too did party, big word, duo/trio rather, to farm items in XI. big party like it has been mentioned and how he said was done, only RMT did this. Farming isn't lottery.


Auto pass option? Yeah, sure. I missed that or didn't understand what you meant. Other than that if it's to get the same stupid loot option we had in XI, no way. The current is much better in many ways for simple parties, why regress. Not even mentioning that, if it's to get the same loot option as XI, you'll lose more time passing the items every time one drop in the loot box than if you got all the drop in auto-loot and traded. 10sec x Xnumber of item vs a 30 second trade? Do the math. So auto-pass sure why not if it's only a by item feature.

Please don't patronise me, I'm not a child. You did in fact say people posting in this thread were RMT, and in your original post saying it, you were not at all clear on who exactly you meant. "Farming parties" could mean big or small parties, and is not very specific. Saying that you were being sarcastic obviously was not clear, or I probably would not have reacted as strongly.

I am not trying to twist anything, nor am I trying to make you look bad. I am simply reacting to the words you wrote. I'm sure you can understand it's often difficult to understand the intent behind the words when all you can see is the words as they are written.

I must have missed this post, I'll have to go look again. In truth I did not play XI, so can't say with any experience I know what you mean on this particular issue. I can't help but look at it as something real players may try, too, not just RMT. In another game I used to play, guild members would go out to fight mobs and get drops purely to get in-game money from the items, either for the guild or for themselves. They used it as a lottery system like that, but weren't RMT.

The math there is based on a normal trade taking only 30 seconds. As I mentioned before, the trade system as it is now is incredibly slow and frustrating. I avoid using the trade system wherever I can because it's so clunky. Have a small pop up window in the corner that lets you roll or pass with one click is a quick and easy solution in parties, provided it runs with a faster speed than menu/trade window currently runs at.

Tbh, a lot of the issues i personally have with the current system would already be fixed by making the give range a lot bigger, because i do have to run back to my thaumaturge husband and give the items because he's standing too far away. Plus not being able to attack mobs while giving is also a gripe. If these things are fixed, then yes i agree it could be a good system.

Random (current)
Leader distribution (Good for Linkshells)
Shuffle (Each person gets 1 item until everyone gets one, then goes back in the same or a different order)
Lot/Roll

Let party leader select which one they want to set from a list, all party members can see what mode is currently selected. System fixed.

This is honestly the best compromise, perhaps add the XI 'Master pool' system where all see drops real time and pass/lot at will until drops just fall off to party members. Something nice to complement this would be a loot pool widget for with mouse support for one hit lotting/passing. Parties and loot are just too diverse for this current system, farming with friends is a perfect example. And finally, no it doesn't need to be addressed NOW but it most certainly must be addressed before new content that awards rare/exclusive drops from NMs is released.

No its not there's a difference when the group decides to pass on an item to give it to a certain group member, and when the item randomly goes to a person in the group and he's too greedy to pass it off.
