like everyone else i am a little fustrated with the lack of info as of late.. but maybe ( a little faith in SE required) they are waiting till the shut down of the servers/last save to start the flood? I think 11/8 is the appropriate time to start raging
This isnt really an issue because something will cater to everyone and somethings will not so all SE has to do is make sure they're heard.
What they're doing now is far from that. Sites acknowledge it just as you acknowledge that quiet boy in the back of your class but that doesn't mean he'll suddenly tell you his life's story.
I'm not saying "don't do it" I'm just expressing a worry about the time of year. As long as they save their big ad campaigns for after xmas when the hype of the holidays calms down. I can't see them advertizing this game at full throttle until they announce a release date sometime next year. But that's just my thoughts, I could easily be wrong and kinda hope I am, lol.
the flood is here

Your patience or impatience aside, you have to admit they have been a bit quiet as far as actual details go.
You all want more information? You realize that anything they put out there needs to be, at some point, translated into at least 3 more languages. If they're relying on volunteers like Reinhart to translate all the ARR stuff, then they are drastically understaffed in that department. There is also the fact that Yoshi-P wants to keep things a secret to build suspense better. In any case, I won't judge until I see the upcoming producer letter.
i don't think people have any concept of how long it takes to develop an MMO. all that time people THINK they're waiting ("oh god oh god oh god i'm gonna die oh my god hurrrry godddddd!!!!") is really just a drop in the bucket compared to most development cycles.
what square is doing is nothing short of herculean. if they can pull it off, it will be something completely unheard of in online gaming.
we get it, you want it and you want it now. you think you've waited long enough. yep, you've repeated yourselves enough.
but have some perspective.
