Yoshi-P on changes in next expansion: “I don’t want to take a conservative approach”

Instead of trying to be contemporary, they could go back to making stories that are more timeless...

Going back to Shadowbringers feels overdone, but that story will probably never really age all that much, it's not really related to anything happening out there in the world in the past or present and it's not tied to any political ideologies or anything... It's always going to be a rather well written story no matter when someone plays it.

Can't wait to see what new and exciting titles they are gonna "attack us with" using our FFXIV sub money and dev work they allocated away from the game.

Bro imagine if the Dev team finally played WoW again to get reinspired to capture the ARR spirit again. But they played WoW when plunderstorm came out so we get XIV plunderstorm because that's what they think western mmo players want lmao.

I've seen better mods on X than what most of these animators are doing ingame already. Someone even modded hats for vierra (something smol indie dev company) cant seem to do properly at all

I don't trust them with job identity they, murdered healers........... They can't do anything right. I don't trust the devs. They F'ed up enough in this game already.

YoshiP said no new races, but if he doesn't want to be conservative, then more races need to be considered as well. I vote for a Mamool Ja playable race. This could be the first instance for more than 2 types. I'd wanted to see Hoobigo, Boonewa, and Doppro. YoshiP mentioned the potential for a Lizardman race during a shadowbringer's fan fest Q&A that most people seem to have forgotten about.

And yet they don't seem to have any interest in fixing existing races. I play an Au Ra and wanted one without hair since it came out. And yet only certain other races can go bald. So I'm better off hoping for a new race than a fix I've already waited over half a decade for.
