The lack of Pride seasonal events is super disrespectful to the trans community

I'm not saying it's a mental health issue I'm just saying if your pronouns change more than once a day you probably have mental health issues.

The biggest Issue I see is that if men can get pregnant they need a say in abortion now since they're giving birth too.

Personally, if there was a trans character in the story, I wouldn't care. It'd just be "another person". The moment your sexuality / gender becomes your defining feature, is the moment you need to rethink some things. Not in a hateful or dismissive way, but I sure as heck won't treat anyone in the lGBT+ community any different to how I treat a straight person. because they are a person first. nobody should get preferential / special treatment over others. ( I know this is not the case, it's wishful thinking. But a miqo'te can dream!)

The whole “don’t push your sexuality down people’s throats” argument is pretty silly and hollow when you consider the fact that cis straight people are constantly putting their own sexuality in everyone’s face every single day. It’s all over the radio, all over tv, in games and movies and books. And yet every time anyone suggests that maybe other groups should get a bit of representation too, people throw a fit and act like it’s the worst idea in the world. It’s really kind of hypocritical to only make a fuss about things being shoved down your throat when it involves identities in the minority.

Other people that have claimed it hypocritical resorted to questionable reasonings, such as listing off movies that had nothing to do with sexuality, books that got nowhere near any sex or gender-related conversation or video games where you're locked into only playing X character.

(The last one being amusing, given there was all that rage over DOOM of all things being homophobic for not letting you turn Doomguy into X/Y/Z. Despite the fact it's Doomguy and the game he's in has nothing to do with sexuality.)

You seriously want me to list every single piece of media with straight romantic couples or mentions of romance in it? It doesn't have to automatically do with people having sex just as having gay couples or trans people in something doesn't mean they're going to be having sex right in your face. The point is that straight couples exist in stories and no one ever complains about it but the second anything else is mentioned it magically becomes too much and "shoving it down our throats."

Yeah, it's almost like companies gear products towards the needs of the majority of the user base, and when they neglect those needs or target a small portion of that base, they lose money, their users complain, and they lose to the competition.

If you want more LGBT representation, you need to make it more viable and profitable to target or create it yourself rather than expect straight people to do it. Still, it's not as profitable, just as male and monster characters aren't that profitable. League of Legends has this issue because the Chinese market buys many hot female characters and male/monster characters do worse.

It's not that profitable and pisses everyone else off because they have different moral, ethnic and cultural standards. The world isn't fair.

I'm also going to add that shows with romances are targeted toward straight couples, especially women., why do you think the bloody Notebook and Titanic movies did so well, it's not because most men enjoyed it,.

i love coming into these threads and seeing the genius minds of final fantasy XIV hard at work
