You can say that about most things nowadays. 2014-2015 were better times in general, at least the way I see it.

Trust me, you get banned if you break the ToS on the forums, I know from first hand experiences. In your case, I have read what was posted and in reality you were trying to control what people could and could not say on a public forum outside of the ToS by calling it bigotry. So don't start pulling the sympathetic victim card you brought all that on yourself.
The two problems, if you bring up criticism people will tell you to just simply quit, or make random excuses for the devs as to why your criticism is invalid. Now if these excuses has any sort of validation cool, but they never do. Other problem is if you praise the game you are a white knight. There are some that do have discussions, but subjects veer off topic quick because of these two things.
Another big thing is people believe there should be a homogeneous opinion that x is bad or good.
This quote kills me everytime >.< I would be lying if I didn't laugh at this when friends are going through ARR and post ARR. Mini lan event involved one of them clicking on the foot prints in the snow for nine hours and while they wait looked at me and said "This is a game that really respects your time." Yoshi- P is a meme lord. He has so many ironic zingers.
When I speak to my Brazillian and Aussie friends the first thing I think about is how oh so different everyones culture is... *facepalms* The comment made prior just....I don't think I will ever be able to theory of mind my way around how this thinking occurs. Do we need to start building baby gates around borders and close them off because no one in any other country will suddenly just start zombie mauling other people. That has to be it. Passports, what are those, we never interact with other 'cultures' they are far too different. No one will ever be able to communicate! I honestly, this has me thinking of everyone as cave men now, and we see another cave man and start shaking sticks at each other when we discover someone if from a different location as someone else. Is that how some see other locations of living?
Repeatedly making homophobic or transphobic remarks absolutely is an example of bigotry, and that violates the terms of use.
To especially act like that massive thread isn’t still regularly receiving posts that include hateful and vulgar attacks against transgender people, said attacks including purposeful misgendering and concerning obsessions with what body parts that a transgender person may have, or to pretend like that transphobic behavior doesn’t reinforce harmful social attitudes that can lead to violence, is incredibly disingenuous.
Said thread is also filled with other hateful comments like problematic double standards, perpetuated anti-gay stereotypes, really personal attacks that claim that people who support more inclusion are insecure with their own sexuality, and lots of rude name-calling among other things… And you really want to try to act like there aren’t bigoted comments anywhere in that massive thread, also ignoring that some were already deleted?
I mean, its true, when you post stupid things, expect opposition. Going around being like "oh the community is being toxic now. Weh" because they're unhappy with a service that they're receiving, then You can't blame them for being unhappy :^)
When you have people coming in defending the less than satisfactory things and even going as far as to call people who are critiquing something rightfully "whining" and "toxic" then you deserve every bit of ire that is coming your way, honey bunches of oats~
It's just a vocal minority anyways. I use these forums when I can't play the game but when I can, I play it and enjoy it.
Because the toxic positivity put the devs into the god-like pedestal and now they think they can get away doing half assed jobs, so people snaped.
