Problem: Achievements

You seem to confuse someones whining to someone trying to fix a problem. If you are the only person willing to do something, then that is a problem. As of now, you seem to be the only person willing to go out and kill humanoids for 4 hours+ a day for a year and a half.

But like I said, if they add instances or something with humanoids within them, then that would be awesome, then you could count it as either something that will just come with time, or an actual feasible goal.

but you dont get it

its NOT a problem, its not supposed to be obtained easily by everyone

achievments are supposed to be long term goals in many instances, not every one should be obtainable in a quick weeks time


you dont like it, dont do it, thats your option, but at this point, yes, you are whining

You are misunderstanding me. I never wanted everything to be easy, if it takes a day, week, month, or year, it doesn't matter. If I was concerned with time vs reward, then I wouldn't be doing AV and CC, hell I wouldn't of played FFXI. You can't honestly say that it is good that we have an achievement for killing humanoids, and there is no reason to do it, can you?

the only reason we need is "because we can"

you dont need a super reward, or some huge incentive to do things

an achievment is just that, an achievemnt, you earned it, if you dont want to earn it, dont


if you dont see the reason to do it, again, dont, doesnt mean they should add it to the game cuz it wont interest everyuone, thats the beauty of an achievemnt system

its all up to the person wether or not they feel its worth it, just because you dont like it, doesnt mean others wont

We shouldn't bicker over something like this. My comment about you misunderstanding was just that, I agree with you, if you do not like an achievement, then you shouldn't do it. Which is exactly why I think some achievements, at this time (I can't stress enough how much I mean at this point in time) are not right to the point where 99.8% percent of the population will not do them. To me that is not what they are there for, they are implemented by the devs to have people want to do them, if not naturally through time, people will shoot for the achievement. They are meant to have people experience the game in a path that the achievements dictate, for instance with the explorer achievement, the devs what people to experience the beautiful world. If I have a problem with any achievement it is because it does not do this.

A lot of valid points for and against here, just wanted to add that it would be good to offer power ups for those achievements that take months/years to complete, makes so much sense to as their are a lot of achievements with no rewards and a lot of classes/jobs that could use it

I feel for the people who have that Achievment "ADD" where you gotta get em all...and you would have to be insane to "Get em all" in this game lol.

I guess... Other than the 100mil from corpses none of them are EXTREMELY long, but still, 10k leves for both is intense. Not to mention the gathering ones.
