Old content has become so easy that it is no longer fun

The only dungeons from ARR I really remember are the ones I hate because you are just below the level of important skills. Stone vigil is just short of whm getting holy, aurum vale is just short of whm getting medica 2 and bene. Most of the lvl 50 dungeons just blend together entirely. Did you know there was a lvl 50 version of sastasha? I only recently remembered that when someone told me they got sastasha for both leveling and 50-80.

it is fun, plenty of enemies to pull past the first room and that are satisfying to kill

SE missed the chance to fix some of the glaring issues with power creep with endwalker. But they didnt, like the fact gear sycn in ARR was only NQ and the potency buff slide.

I've lost count of the number of tanks I've seen over the years who are used to channeling their inner Leeroy Jenkins that try to rush the first room, only to get destroyed from accidental face pulls.

my issue isn't the difficulty but the absurd balance issues between classes.

using healers as an example: some have it extremely easy, like sage and scholar which all get regens or shields at very low levels or in ast's case, lightspeed and essential dignity. yet as a WHM you get... cure 1. fun fun.

I think this is an unrealistic ask. The classes are balanced for level 90 endgame. It's next to impossible to ensure all classes are balanced not only at level 90, but all the levels before it. In the case of healers, that's just WHM's MO. WHM is a super easy healer designed to be as accessible as possible. Sure, all you get is Cure I at low levels, but Cure I is also extremely powerful at those levels. High skill floor type of class.

Stuff that. Adjustments definitely need to be made in regards to low level content. Things like WHM having literally no MP recovery tools aside from Lucid Dreaming, no Thin Air to take the edge off their absolutely abysmal mp economy, and a single off global heal with a 3 minute cooldown. Compare that to SCH casually restoring 20% of it's MP every minute with Aetherflow while also having 3 charges of Lustrate, 2 regens in the form of Eos and Whispering Dawn, and two mitigation abilities in Fey Illumination and Sacred Soil. Or SGE regenerating 700 MP for every Addersgall ability it uses (with a charge being restored every 20 seconds) while being able to regen whoever they apply Kardia to by attacking, while also sharing similar abilities to SCH. Or AST being able to regenerate a ridiculous amount of MP just for drawing cards and using Astrodyne in addition to having Lucid Dreaming, while also having lower MP costs on their healing spells (which are quite literally copy pastes of WHM's I should add) on top of an Essential Dignity every minute and Synastry which heals the target for 40% of someone else's heal or heals the target for a whopping 140% if directly healed.

Compare all that to WHM not even having access to Lilies until reaching level 52 in HW, tools to help cover it's crippling MP debt in Assize and Thin Air, or an off global heal that doesn't have a hilariously large cooldown in Tetragrammaton. WHM is definitely accessible, in the sense that it's the first damn healer the game lets you choose.

I 100% agree, every single friend I've tried to get into the game gets bored and quit because they don't think it's challenging. It's super sad.

For the most part this game isn't supposed to be challenging. But even so I agree with the sentiment that certain dungeons/raids/etc need to be retuned so that mechanics actually show themselves and (mostly) matter. I'd love to see the mechanics in CT again. It'd make it much less boring.
