Would you like to see a LFG icon besides the player name?

We may Find out @ Gamescon :).

Would this even be needed in 2.0 cause they will have content finder to form groups. Seems like they just forgot about it for 1.X and it be kind of useless in 2.0.

Could do LFP Crossed Server

-Person LFP ( Shows up Green ! in your Server)
-Person LFP ( Shows up in Content Finder w/server name, Name of Character and Green ! next to his/her name)

Its not useless if implemented right.

They already said that with content finder you hit a button on the UI enters you in a queue and it auto forms the group you don't actually pick people.

LFP can be for the people that don't want to use Content Finder And just play with people on their server. Options are best =).

I for one would be using cross server as a last resort, or even not at all..
