Am I doing SMN wrong or is there just a LOT to do?

Any updated guides for SMN?
I never really played the job since 2,0 and since I levelled SCH I wanted to give it a try but I felt very overwhelmed, not even sure where to place actions in the cross-hotbar (controller player).
Any guide would be very useful because I really do not grasp that job looking at the skill boxes...

The first paragraph of that guide is all anyone needs to know about the state of Summoner right now.

smn 80 keeps you busy and has been simplified to understand (without knowing the ideal opener or even ideal rotation, you do enough damage)

but it doesnt have a natural flow to it anymore nor does it feel rewarding to play..

its imo overall a step backwards in terms of fun (though SB Smn had some issues that have been fixed, just a bit too extreme)

.. but atleast it keeps me busy

(seems too many jobs have lost their rewarding rotations and been simplified a lot, .. hope this is not the beginning of the end of good rotations.., like WOW started to simplify too much too at one point)
