Normal eight man content can require both healers healing as well. That does not have to the domain of savage only. That will require moving the scale towards more healing and less dpsing on a healers part.

I think we should all be assuming the same position, the space in movement where dogeza worship and self-ass-kiss are possibilities... May's Combat Update is basically hinging on what happens to healers.
Yes but you could say the same about the tank situation either you have group support or you don’t and no one takes you. Same with the shield situation no one takes Astro/whm together because it’s bad. That’s the reason you never see drk/pld you could argue the same way. Both sides are flawed so bad if it is drk or whm.
More or less yes but if they fukk up healer balancing bad there is no reason to come back to it and atleast tanks have a new job if it goes south so it is t that bad of a thing. Try find good healer as a new static in this game. It’s almost impossible and takes a lot of nerves . I whas a main this and last raid tier and it whas fun (well hw Astro whas Bad until the end but still u had a new job were you could look forward for good buffs) I’m going to tank because I’m so feed up that there is no new healer job but a range dps Job when mch isn’t even fixed and fun to play. And then blame it on balancing shield healer like really ? That’s bullshit and we all know it.
Make the dps Check way more easy and the dmg the raid takes way more frequently. Isn’t the best way to do it but it will force people to heal. I’m not a fun of the be at all 100 % health or die mechanics aka god kefka or exdeath but making healer mechanics different and fun instead of heal or die. Timed heals or you have a fight we’re you don’t heal the raid but give them a shield instead for long parts of a fight like wow malkorok had. There are ways to make healing fun and challenging
The DPS checks are already easy enough. And still, your suggestion will increase the number of wipes due to healing failures. And that is not acceptable. Also, your suggestion doesn't make "healer mechanics different and fun". Throwing more Medica/Cure instead of a Stone is still pressing a GCD. The only difference is, with what you are suggesting, failing to press that GCD will result in a party wipe.
My question still stands: how do you achieve that without increasing the wipe rate?
