It usually isn't good to assume. I actually do glamour with some of the pieces from previous events, and you totally missed an earlier section of the thread where I voiced my concern for new players being forced to go to the mogshop if they wish to dress up along with everyone else.
I know sets take a while to add to the game, and we just got amazing swimwear from the last Moonfire. So I can see how it is a bit easy to come off as a spoiled princess stomping her feet, but here's the deal:
Two years ago, Moonfire delivered our now highly used Ranger pose emotes, an orchestrion roll, and a set of armor (which players glam btw). SE followed that event up in All Saints Wake with the Vampire Vest, TWO orchestrion roles, and a minion, and a house furnishing.... AND the implementation of the very fun Haukke Manor dungeon we all look forward to now. Oh, and both of these events of 2016 also had a decent sized and amusing questlines. SE has also made it known that next year, our lovely songbirds will not be returning (an event that probably gathered more players together than any other; the amount of glowsticks in Ul'dah was insane).
Now tell me something doesn't smell funny. It should be easy to see the writing on the wall. When SE has shown themselves capable of giving us such quality content and rewards during events in the past, why wouldn't we have the expectation? It should be VERY concerning to everyone that the laziness is increasing while the quality is decreasing.
