Letter from the Producer Vi

Between Yoshi-P's words and Square's donation to Japan (Around 1.2 Million) I can say with some certainty that Square is a fantastic company and truly want the best for everyone. Please, take my money.

public companies? i am lost.

"I had intended to announce this in a future letter, but we will release information regarding the Grand Companies of Eorzea (what were referred to as “public companies” in previous posts) just before patch 1.17 goes live. We are currently readying a page dedicated to this exciting new feature, and hope to have it up on the Lodestone shortly."

I was a bit lost when reading the letter in regards to the dates, he said he had planned to announce the information in a future letter but instead he would release it before patch 1.17, which should be going live first or second week of april then says they would have a page ready shortly but when reading the entire letter including the paragraphs i didn't include it seemed like he was implying the page regarding companies would be release soon in order to make up for the delay.

So what im trying to say is, is there gonna be a update page soon or just before the update itself, like it normally is and the fact that both options are implied in the letter is just a mistake in translation like how it says 1.16a when they were clearly refering to 1.16b.

my understanding is that they are preparing the page that will hold all the info, to be up shortly.
Also in other parts of the letter he mentions 1.16a and 1.17 will be going up shortly after the servers go up in the next few weeks. SO lets take it as we will have info in the next few weeks(which does fall into early april)

we kmow the info is coming! and isnt too far off :) if anything id just be amazed if they got the servers up by then at all, since the game servers do draw a ton of power compared to the dev server, considering the current crisis and all and power consumption being an issue.

Take your time SE nerds like us can wait hope you all are well ^^.

Yeah, I'm kind of lost about that too. Although, the sooner we get info the better imo. I'm really hoping we get this info tomorrow, we've been waiting for it for a long time ;_;

So the only new news about the game are the name addition of Grand and the fact that maps won't be changed just the collisions a bit.

I don't mind the delay I mind the fact there's nothing to look forward to.
I understand that it's hard to translate the explanation to companies via e-mail because the translators left the country....no wait. Actually that doesn't make any sense whatsoever!

was there a 2nd post or interview by the dev team regarding maps? i don't remember reading that in the letter
