Personally, I just hope they look cool. I'm pretty much prepared for both trading-in and starting fresh, but if we're having semi-frequent upgrades, I don't want to have to glamour all the time if the designs suck.

The grind for the first relic was nerfed down. Look at 1.0 relic guides to see the not nerfed grind of the first relic.

I'm prolly gonna glmaout the zeta replica (or zeta itself) over the new relic if they turn out to not be dyable under any circumstances. I'm trying to color-code my classes to all the colors of the rainbow (plus white and Magenta) and It seems unlikely that the BLM relic will be purple

i'm kinda bothered that they even haven't let us see what look like the different relic...

Hmm. If I have to give up my Zeta, maybe I won't skip it. I don't mind grinds... I mean sure I complain but I'll still DO it.

I spent hours upon HOURS for my Zeta. Sure, it's essentially useless now, but I've never actually taken it off my character. It's glamoured onto my current weapon and the actual Zeta has been sitting in my Armory Chest since I've had to unequip it. Useless, waste of space? Sure it is, but I still worked for it.

Not sure if I'm all that ready to give it up.

A single upgrade will cost 10,000,000 bells... I mean gil.

I'm not sure why people think the Anima weapons would be i205. When Relic weapons have been upgraded they've always received the same ilvl as the best Raid weapon at the time:


i115 High Allagan (T9) -> i115 Relic upgrade
i135 Dreadwyrm (T13) -> i135 Relic upgrade.


Not to mention Thordan EX is being pugged pretty easily these days. Grinding out an i205 Anima would be pretty pointless when there's already an easier option. Everything points to the Anima Weapons being i210.

I could either keep my Zeta I spent months building, or I could simply view Anima as the next step for my relic weapon and relinquish it with no issue just like I did for all the previous relic steps up to Zodiac.

Except the prior steps transferred stat to the next weapon once you finished Sphere Scrolls.
