Pay to Play Subscription - Cast your votes!

Taking into account the fact that forum users are likely to be the more committed of the player base it must be very worrying for SE that such a large proportion have voted no. If it isn't then it should be. The game will lose players, the influx we've seen in recent weeks will be reversed and I can't see anyone deciding to replace them. Some will decide to wait and see what 2.0 is like, but if the reputation of the game is further diminished by a declining player base will they rethink and look elsewhere? I don't mind SE having my money to pay for my entertainment but I do mind paying it to support this ill conceived plan.

I have already paid 140 bucks (2 CEs) for an unfinished/unplayable product. I'm not gonna sub for another year until the real "new ffxiv" is released. I hope for all of you that continue to play that they offer you guys race/character changes but remember who we are dealing with here.

With that said, that SS of 2.0 looks hawt and I can't wait to get my hands on it but I'm happy playing FFXI for now. See you guys next December!

i voted for yes, i love what i read about new races, places, change of the world design etc....

Not Sure yet.. If the Sub is low (£5ish) yeah possibly, if not I'll probably just wait out 1.21 have a month and then again at 1.23 and maybe stick around then. (patches that have stuff I want in them)

1.20 is a bit weak for me though so not sure, you think they would have tied it up with a more (o.O) patch then a mostly adjustments one tbh..

Wife and I would have to pay for 2 accounts, so it depends on the price...not sure we're willing to pay ~25-30$ a month for something we're not having that much fun with right now :(

Absolutely not, to be entirely frank 1.19 just barely gave me the motivation to start logging on again at all. There is no way this game is even close to worth paying a monthly fee for yet, at least for me.

I will stay and pay. I wanna see the Storyline that destroys Eorzea for myself and I´m willing to pay for it.

yah same, i just got back in because partys are back, though the lack of a search feature hurts. other then that its not like there is this huge long dedicated endgame to get into yet, so im in no rush to cap. keeping it pretty casual right now. I dont think its worth it either.

I know, I'd love to stick around with you guys and I love our little group of social misfits, but I just can't bring myself to pay for something that isn't worth paying for yet.

I hope I don't have to wait a whole year for a good reason to come back and start paying!
