Well look at Bard. What did they do to them when the game first came out? Prime example and a lot more people were pissed. They trivialized content and made other classes useless. Drg has been in the dumpster for a while if not most of 2.0 and they still have some improvements that need to be taken. smn had the misconception of being poor DPS due to how their dots worked but have actually been said by developers they were near top DPS. Warrior I just hate. Hate them as a healer and hated playing as one.

I'm glad you think AST is in a good position. Many of us do not. Many of us are very much disappointed with the job, as evidenced by the fact that there are countless posts and threads about it (much like Machinist).

Forums are rarely held to a high standard as they are opinion based and lack any supporting evidence that the developers are able to obtain as experience with a class is based on skill level which is biased on our parts. We had the same amount of posts about smn back in the day till those were squashed by yoshi p in a post he did. Yes I'm not saying they don't need some help as they do but from people's posts there seems to be a bigger problem than just AST.

LOL, except for the fact that the devs constantly monitor the feedback in the forums and make necessary changes. It's happened countless times (in fact I provided you four very real examples in my earlier post).

But, you seem to be very content on sitting pretty in your rose-tinted glasses, so I certainly won't deprive you of that. Have a good day!

SE is not prone to go off the forums alone. No development team worth their salt does. Yes it brings things to their attn but does not mean they will be worked on. And if I remember right so correct me if I'm wrong but smn actually received a nerf at one point. Not a buff.
And if you read my post you would see I was actually agreeing with you. I'm just saying be careful what you wish for. Game designers are well known for giving you what you want just not how you envisioned. Anyone who is familiar with SWG learned that the hard way.

You're right they have but they do not have the programs that the devs do and that is why I'm saying don't put much stock in what someone else has posted on a forum as the devs look for specific things that players do not have access to. Those same numbers were posted about summoners and were proven wrong. Take things with a grain of salt. Each of us have an opinion based on our own experiences.

My experience is yes they need some tweaking. I'm more hesitant to say they are broken and compare them to the other healers as they are unique in a way. Also I'm hesitant to say Whm and Sch allow tanks to be lazy and compete content easily compared to AST as that does send the message that maybe the problem isn't with AST overall but the other healing classes are trivializing content to a degree to be detrimental to the overall growth of the game. I'm saying be more careful in your word choice as the general message I've been getting is that AST don't make content easy enough. I doubt that was the intention but if I'm picking up on that then what are the devs reading from people's near identical posts?
