The whole '' everything is political '' thing that permeates the internet is seriously the most obnoxious crap ever.
Just because you can do a bunch of mental gymnastics to read politics into Mario doesn't make it political the term just loses all meaning at that point.
It might be fun and interesting academically as a thought experiment but people are kinda missing the whole point of that when they take it further and act like it's actually real and matters.
