Thats more than every Offline Final Fantasy had. If the Numbers are correct, thats more than enough for a scenario opening. I really don't understand, what people do expect.

So there's 9 new zones.
1. Ishgard itself
2. Coerthas Western Highlands
3. Dravania Hitherlands
4. Dravania Forelands
5. Sea of Clouds
6. The Churning Mists
7. Floating Continent
and one or two more depending on how the two levels of Ishgard are counted here.
Kinda expected to see more of Coerthas to be honest.
I wonder what the remaining ones could be. Sharyalan? They did show a dungeon that looks suspiciously like the Ancient Library from FFV.
Hmmm that scene when they show Lolorito at night and you see the light flash on him... his shadow looks like a tall guy with a hood on. I know shadows can get bigger depending on day and distance... but might this be a hint that Lolorito is a Ascian?
Yeah, a 50-hour main story is NOTHING to complain about. I'm thrilled when an rpg lasts that long, and usually they require tons of sidequesting to get there. Don't know what that guy's smoking.
thing is, XI WAS a good game for it's time. and to many it still is. this game isn't XI and quite frankly I'm glad it isn't. the formulas that made XI work way back when it was released won't work now(or atleast most companies wouldn't dare to try them). not enough people have the patience to wait around for players for co-op. not to mention if they turned XIV into what XI is now they would just be killing the game.
that being said I wouldn't mind seeing versions of some of the end game content added to XIV.
Dynamis
Limbus
Salvage(one of the more interesting ones because you started with pretty much all your gear slots and abilities locked and fighting bare handed. I'm sure they could figure out a version where you have everything locked but your weapon) I had the most fun with this one.
Besieged was another thing I would love to see added to XIV.
I wont be heart broken if none of these things are added though
Overall, I am happy with the stuff coming to us in Heavensward.
However, I'm a little disappointed that the new jobs start at level 30. I would have preferred them to start at level 1.
I wish that Yoshida spent a little time explaining the reasoning beyond this decision.
To be perfectly fair, there were a number of this I wish he spent a little more time on. =\
